If I worked there, and they didn't accommodate every single employee who wanted to work from home, I'd be filing complaints for sure. I can't function properly when I'm cold.

Idea: Rent the weirdest Airbnb you can find, and tell them it's your new home.
Cosmos is the only one I've tried. (I assume someone sent it to me because I don't usually sample brands at this price point.) Not sure about longevity, but on paper it delivers everything it promises. I wouldn't pay more than $160-170 for a bottle though.
Thanks for the tip! I signed up for the newsletter, but forget that 99% of perfumers don't send them. 🤪 I want UV for sure and am tempted to blind buy Absinthe Rose.
If you're intrigued by metallic notes, you need to try Cosmos by House of Bō. It's one of the best I've sniffed so far this year.
Santa Maria Novella is definitely worth exploring. U.S. stockists only carry a fraction of their selection. I fell in love with Incenso, but Magnolia was a close 2nd.
Enjoy your trip and your time with Nae!
I'm envious! The food in England is incredible. Will you have the opportunity to peruse perfumes on this trip?
Wow! Thank you for sharing your scent memories and associations. What a fascinating read.
I didn't know it had a pine note! Now I definitely need to try it. Black licorice is such a fun and addictive note.
For what it's worth, the breakfast on the plane when I flew into London last year almost made me barf. Never in my life did I expect a thick layer of dijon mustard on a breakfast bagel sandwich. Nobody warned me. 😞
As much as I miss interacting with certain people on TikTok, this is one reason I am fine with not having an account anymore. It was such a time suck—way too easy to spend hours scrolling, only to feel unfulfilled and regretful that I hadn't spent my time doing literally anything else.
This was one of the last booths I visited on Sunday, and I had such a lovely chat with Chana. Ultra Violet was my favorite of the ones I smelled. She said she didn't even intend for the juice to be a violet hue, but felt like it was meant to be. ✨ Somehow I missed the rose-themed ones!
Manuka can definitely smell earthy and a little funky. I actually wouldn't mind if this one was funkier on my skin; I get clean bunny cage after the bunny was bathed with fancy honey shampoo. But it also reminds me of walking past the pet store at the mall in the 90s.
I know someone who recently completed aesthetician training and had to practice on a fellow student who was absolutely vile. Like, 6-7 baby wipes to clean off the dookiedoo before she could even start. 🤢 They definitely deserve 25-30% gratuity minimum.
I had an alert set for Caviar Service after watching a review for it, but I'm exiting my gourmand era and decided I'm no longer interested. Kind of on the fence about the brand in general because the whole FOMO sales tactic is too much pressure for me. 🫠
I was perusing the Des Cieux website the other day! I got a Mercari alert for a limited perfume of theirs I'd completely forgotten about.
What bottles did you get? 👀
Artwork by the brand SYD Botanica promoting the perfume Earth Star. The image includes a whimsical display of the bottle of the perfume set in front of sculptures of three porcini mushrooms to the left, and a a sculpture of a handbag made of moss to the right. The moss is decorated with small toy bugs and a bird, as well as a gray star-shaped emblem with an eye in the center. The sculptures are set against a backdrop of a red velvet drape with “roots” hanging down across the top, rendering an impression that they are set up underground, in soil.
Earth Star is the newest perfume by SYD @sydbotanica.bsky.social released today. This debuted at the Fumed Indie Perfume Expo in Chicago on March 28-29, 2026, and it was the only full bottle that came home with me. www.sydbotanica.com/store/p/eart...
Or possibly a fusion of Scottish and Twin Peaks reverse speech.

I think the word is "trauma." We equate familiarity with safety—but when we're acclimated to misfortune, it has a Stockholm syndrome kind of effect.
But more importantly, what's the good news? 👀
Adding onto this: Cape Disappointment by Treading Water Perfume. It's a really unique woody seashore kind of scent, and the name seems apt.
That, Autumn Rhythm, and the apple pie scent are the ones I've heard the most about. My interest in sampling is winding down, but those are still on the list.
I feel like Peau by Arquiste and Arabian Horse by Pierre Guillaume are easy to love. Maybe something by Chris Collins? I've never sampled them, but have only heard positive things.
Awww! What a magical encounter. I wonder if this particular species has issues flying? I saved one in a similar predicament a couple of years ago; it was flipflopping on the grass like it was brand new to the world and hadn't quite figured out how its body worked.
Apropos of nothing in particular.
Everyone should have a plan they can stick to to prevent scroll-induced psychosis & despair between now through the end of the year.
Something physical.
Something beautiful.
Something fantastical.
Something indulgent.

Maybe you should combine all the samples you wore today into one travel sprayer. 🤔
I appreciate a good chaos bubble. 🫧 Last week I rewore a pair of pants I had worn during FUMED, and somehow the amalgamation of perfumes had morphed into its own delightful fruity semi-floral scent that I will never experience again. 🥲
This is ambitious! I should give Maid Marian another chance. Something about a little stinky stink makes me feel more like myself.

Studies have shown the brain releases pleasure chemicals in response to pain/stress as well as positive stimuli. (This effect is also one reason BDSM is so popular. Do with that information what you will.)
