The Record of Lodoss War game for Mega CD (released in 1994) begins (appropriately) with its own pixel art rendition of the opening and the iconic 'Adesso e Fortuna.' 🎶

Power Blade (1990, Taito) - NES

Sharp Pixels vs. AV Famicom Composite via Sony PVM-20L2MD

Rolled credits on this one with my kiddo today and it made me miss the blog. Color differences are due to the NES’ inconsistent color palette on various displays.

Since this whole AI being hyped to infinity and shoved down our throats nonstop despite the fact that it can't do anything well, I've thought about this SMBC comic a lot.

Yeah I like that aesthetic a lot as well, other than me only being able to draw pixel art, I tried to make it consistently look "16 bit retro"

If I had some spare time I'd like to get my game running on Windows XP to satisfy my weird retro-tech obsession lol

Digital painting of a merfolk-monster mutant. The merman is mostly humanoid; with human legs and barely any aquatic features, but on the nape of his neck is a fleshy appendage, that tethers him to the spine of a giant, mutated anglerfish, as if he's the lure and bait instead of a faintly glowing appendage.

The merfolk is floating above the large and open jaws of the anglerfish.

Yep, that was definitely it. In practice it's primarily me just going "monkey see, monkey do", so I'm glad you thought so, thank you for the kind words :)

Atelier is definitely a perfect comfy franchise to go through, good choice to start at Rorona since the other games make the gameplay loop show some of its age.

I'm basically just doing mine as a learning experience, I've got a tiny little bullet hell game that I've plinked away on as a hobby and I've put up a demo and steam page for it to figure stuff out

Check out Eternal Skies in the games in New York festival, featuring games made in New York.

It starts on the 29th.

Doing stuff again slowly... Needs adjustment and also art but I think it's a bit neat.

Worked on making an intro cutscene for the train boss for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!

The actual cutscene itself is a placeholder, but the actual functionality to load and play it (complete with a cutscene skip) is in, meaning that a proper cutscene can easily be added in later :)
