The two options are gerrymander to the hilt or fair national bill that makes it even everywhere. I’d prefer the later, but we don’t get there at this point without the former. We really need to be ruthless but open the door while doing it for bi-partisan fixes.

You're looking at velvet malachite, Cu2CO3(OH)2.
A few warnings:
Please resist the urge to touch it to feel how soft it is.
Absolutely /do not/ lick it.
Keep far away from any Supermen.
If a wingéd creature emerges, do not agree to any pacts.
Let's talk about the science here.

That pennant wall is unbelievably cool, do you have a picture of the full display?
He such a weird but pure distillation of morality it really cuts through time in history. Most people could not be John Brown and that’s probably not a bad thing, but there are definitely points in human history we need more John Browns.
I hate it when our enemies align on an “enemy of our enemies basis”, and the rag tag coalition they form aren’t the baddies.
I’m ok with our first ever defeat to also be a statement against horrible people, but will break the bank to beat the old Sandusky boys if they threaten our position.
I remember my grandpa talking about how fundamentally crazy the flu quarantines made people feel as a kid and COVID was way more severe. Thinking it’s NBD to stay out of socializing as fundamentally social creatures where clearly the experience massively rocked all societies is a crazy take.

People ask me all the time for my favorite Onion headline, and there are like 200 of them, but my favorite recent print headline is easily this:
I think “groceries” too at one point.
It didn’t really click for me until I heard Jane Coaston talk about it, but its pretty clear JD just converted for perceived political advantage, and that is such a gross and repulsive thing (unless you are a pagan warlord in the early church).
I’m not an active believer any more, but the parts of my parish growing up that would move heaven and earth to help community refugee families or others in need really felt like the truest embodiment of all the gospels we listen to and was deeply rewarding to be a part of and grown up in.
That sounds like a trip that would put me in a food coma for months

I can't stop laughing at this post. It's perfect.
Clearly the best strategic move for the party is nominating someone who will re-inflame the BLM/police reform party divisions from the COVID years.
