I wasn’t at Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the #ArtemisII launch, but witnessing it from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center was incredible. It was even more special that I shared this historic moment with my mom for her first NASA launch… and she made it on TV. 😆🚀. My mama is a star y’all!

So today, I have a small ask: Learn about endometriosis and ask questions. If you know someone living with this disease, reach out to them, check on them, and give them a hug.
Me and so many advocates around the world have worked so hard for years to raise awareness and provide support for those looking for answers. And we are still doing it. Many of us have done so amid our own pain and health struggles. Some, tragically, have lost their lives because of this disease.
Today is Worldwide Endometriosis Day. I’ve been feeling emotional throughout the month, tearing up frequently, but today, the floodgates are open.
I attended the first Worldwide Endometriosis March to advocate for awareness of the disease in March 2014.
My latest for NPR 🌸:
As I reported about Iran in July: “The U.S. will never show its hand and directly say it’s trying to exert and maintain a neocolonial hold over a nation. It will instead try to justify its aims in the name of national interests or spreading democracy, international relations scholars also say.”
It’s powerful wisdom for all of us to remember.

“We the people are pissed.”
In this week’s The C‑Note, I share my NPR reporting on nationwide protests sparked by the fatal ICE shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, updates on USPS price changes, and a reminder to stay grounded through the chaos.

More protests are planned for Sunday as people nationwide demonstrate against the Trump administration's immigration enforcement tactics with the killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis.
You don’t need another New Year’s resolution. You need intention.
In my first reflection of the year, I invite you to stop wasting energy on the what & start focusing on the why.
Listen below to hear why intention is the compass you actually need not another resolution to do 10,000 pushups a day.

The holidays are hard for some people. Please be kind. You never know what someone is going through. One small action or word can send someone over the edge. Praying for everyone grieving or hurting this season. 🙏🏾
Don’t perform for the new year. Begin for real.
Here is a reflection on what it means to start again — with courage. Whether it’s a dream delayed or a plan you paused…It’s okay to begin again.
If you’re about to wrap up a self-help book someone didn’t ask for…Put. It. Down. 😅
Listen to my minicast below for your permission slip to do better. It’s not the thought that counts — It’s the INTENT that counts.
Kaepernick also told reporters he still trains every morning and that no NFL teams have contacted him.
Colin Kaepernick also told me: “We have to make sure we have the right guardrails in place to make sure that what is coming out of AI is actually accurate and beneficial to our students and to our communities.”
He continued, “And the ways that that shows up may look different from community to community, but what is most important is making sure that we continue to do the work…”
I asked Colin Kaepernick his thoughts on athletes & public figures speaking out against the racial retrenchment of equitable policies.
“We're seeing athletes, entertainers, politicians, families, communities, pushing back on these policies because they want justice…we want fairness,” he told me.
Spoke with Colin Kaepernick about his program Lumi Story AI at Prince George’s County Public Schools’ launch of the initiative. **Disclaimer: I am not an employee of WUSA9, but in the spirit of journalism teamwork, I held their mic to help capture clean audio while still asking my own questions.
