More importantly, however, is that I am this👌tempted to add the following footnote in the paper: \footnote{The lead author loves Python, the senior author loathes it and its ecosystem, though "loathing" is merely an approximation as there is no word that truly captures their sentiments.}

One of my MSc students has written a cool prototype in Python. I discovered a bug not written by them. I had to resort to Claude to discover an undocumented incompatibility issue between two libraries. That'll appear in my declaration regarding the use of GenAI for the paper we're drafting.

I’m giving up. A US tourist was misinformed and told their family things about Belgium and their strikes that were false (i.e., people get paid while on strike). When correcting them, I merely got: “Thank you for your different opinion.” Truth has now become a different opinion.

So I had the weirdest lucid-ish dream last night. I dreamt that I was in control of my dream using prompts, more specifically, using Claude. I just used a prompt to change the narrative of my dream and avert nightmares.

An MSc student told me how to create GitHub Pages from any repository, and I thought this was only possible for a personal GitHub.io webpage. I thought this was a relatively new feature, and it turns out it's been around since 2008. 🤦‍♂️

For the past few years, I have declined invitations to serve as a PC for ICTAI because they tend to assign 6-8 papers instead of the promised 3-4. This year, I have been added to their PC without an invitation. Quid?!

I asked Siri to call my SO, and it called a scientific collaborator whose name is NOTHING alike. My first thought upon hearing the wrong voice was: "Oh no, something bad happened." And how is your Tuesday going? >.>

Well, that book was quite the page turner. And some themes were developed for a children’s book! I love me some #TerryPratchett

I'm grading papers and, for the first time in my career, I was so shocked by the naive approach to comparing things that aren't comparable. I wrote: "What I am about to write, I am writing with the utmost humor: You are not comparing apples to oranges, you are comparing seafoods to salads."

I’m overhearing a student explaining to another student what a library is, how it works, and how one can borrow books at the university library. 😢 #liege

I tried booking a later flight, but ended up booking an earlier one because I mistakenly confused the arrival time with the departure time. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m low key proud of myself. This is my first ever sewing project. I was unfortunately off by a couple of inches (damn you, imperial system), so I can’t wear it 😭 #sewing #dungarees

Anyhoo. That will be all for now. I'll be off galivanting, admiring temples, and observing fish, lizards, and amphibians. I'm truly geeking out! ;-D

And finally, I am very proud of a person who has obtained a prestigious postdoctoral grant; we worked pretty hard on it. While the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, I respect their difficult decision (!) to transition into the industry.

Fourthly, I completed some research-related tasks. We sent notifications for the First International Workshop on Users and Knowledge Graphs (at SEMANTiCS 2025). And we submitted the CR of a paper written by @davidchavesfraga.com , Souail Jaadari, and me. Souail did fantastic work as an intern.
