Go read the most incredible books, short stories, graphic novels, poems, plays, etc, that you can find. Also the worst ones. Do not try to write. At some point, the best words & the worst words will turn into Inspiration Soup, and you’ll write again.

Periodontal disease is some seriously nasty shit. It *can* be contained, but the up front out of pocket price to make it happen is high. Help them out if you can!
yall are NOT ready for the character art that just dropped in my inbox
the time off is as helpful as the time spent working! sometimes it needs to cook in the Background Brain before it can become Main Focus again
👀👀👀 let’s goooo
A white person with blonde hair, wearing a light pink satin shirt, holds up a copy of THE MISEDUCATION OF CAROLINE BINGLEY for the camera. The cover of the book shows two women in Regency dresses, eating a picnic together.
These beauties have arrived! I cannot WAIT for the book to launch next month ❤️
every so often you'll see someone share THE book that got them into reading...FOR LIFE... and you think "huh. I hated that one so much I left it on the airplane" and I think that's beautiful.
Oh, you worked on your art today? Fuck yeah. Go you. More. More!
this is the BEST couch I have ever seen
Everything about it is right up my alley!!!
A promo image showing a faded sigil on a black background and the text: I’ve signed with Laura Zats of Headwater Literary Management! We will be working with THE PASSING OF EIR LAHREN and other future projects.
The news is finally here: I’ve signed with Laura Zats of Headwater! @lzats.bsky.social fell in love with THE PASSING OF EIR LAHREN and I’m so excited to work with someone so dedicated to the art of writing and who loves the weird and undefinable. She totally understands Ivigh's complex, messy story.
YAY!!!! I am so glad to officially call you my agent sibling!!!
YES YES YES YES
Good morning! It's a beautiful day and I've reopened to queries!
As someone who feels like I am moving at a snail's pace right now--compared to being able to write two books and a novella or two a year a decade ago--you might wonder, have I ever been tempted to even think about using AI to speed the process up?
The answer is not even fucking slightly.
Mournful, dramatic lighting, warm background and dark shadows; a small stone window frames half of a white-haired person, surrounded by blooming roses; the plants in the rest of the image are sharp and barren. The white-haired man embraces a blood-red, fanged skeleton. The corpse is looking away. Covered in moss, it appears to be crying pink flowers. A small dagger seems to be stabbing its heart, represented by a glowing star.
Belated tenderness

A graphic featuring a headshot of author Lindz McLeod (a white person with blonde hair wearing round glasses and a floral shirt) alongside the UK cover of THE UNLIKELY PURSUIT OF MARY BENNET.
As if getting married 3 days ago wasn't enough excitement, I'm beyond honoured and thrilled to announce that THE UNLIKELY PURSUIT OF MARY BENNET—a tender, heartfelt book I wrote for my now-wife—is a finalist for the Debut award at the #ronas26
What a wild week. I must be dreaming ❤️
WHO would do this
logging old growth should be illegal. everywhere. period.

don't know about having a baby, but the closer i get to 35, the more i want to plant trees.
I never would have guessed I’d become so familiar with the e-mail genre: Robot Desperately Pretending to Be a Fan of Your Writing
this is why i still have hope. we *can* minimize and sometimes even rewind the damage.
one thing that irks me sometimes (and i might write an essay on this one day) is that worldbuilding in books is often presented as "objective" and every single character has this "objective" view of the world. every character has access to the same information regardless of their personal history.
Gonna hold on to this croissant metaphor for the rest of my creative life

Splashy maned wolf study.
