Ben Hillier was a perfect producer for Playing the Angel, but Sounds of the Universe perhaps proves that DM shouldn't work with the same producer again. Though DM proved for 3 albums they can exist without Wilder, his remix of In Chains maybe proves otherwise? Nevertheless, masterful songwriting!

Today in 2021 I released my debut album, Air Base of the Senses. It features the singles The Beginning of Sorrows, You Can Be Now and (If You Don't) Forgive. All 10 tracks were written, performed and produced by myself and mastered by Ludwig Bouwer at One Big Room Studios in Pretoria.

That's 32 Celcius for me. That's hot! I can't do heat, Aaron. I guess I am what they call heat intolerant. Over here we are supposed to have fall, and we did for a well, but now we have hot humid days. One good thing is the thunderstorms. But they are usually gone by March.

From the bittersweet, abandoned mansions and morgues of Velvet, to Morten holding the longest note in UK chart history (20,2 seconds) in the lead single, Summer Moved On. Also check out the amazing non-single gems, Little Black Heart and I Won’t Forget Her.

Yeah! Especially USOM! My personal favourite is Afterhours, as well as of course Dead Stars, Helicopter and the opening track which title I now forget after that second red wine! Lol

How they sound exactly like the beach is a mystery and magic of the fingerprint sound. This is one of their best albums. Their version of California Dreamin', God Only Knows and Somewhere Near Japan are my favourites.

Do you know Covenant, Aaron? I miss our EBM days from the late 90s and early 2000s. The goth scene in my home city totally evaporated. So sad.
