Terrific and powerful song by a talented and thoughtful artist. I first heard this on WBCN in Boston, one of the greatest radio stations ever, back before broadcast media became a bland, dishonest money-making machine for soulless billionaires. Thanks for posting.

I’m with you, my friend. 😊 From where I sit, he’s got the experience, the courage and the temperament to be an outstanding governor. He may not be the flashiest guy in town, but he gets stuff done and works well with others. Not sure we need another billionaire on an ego trip, and no GOPs for sure!
No big surprise here, as she was a dumpster fire from the day she took the job. Favoritism, unprofessional conduct, mismanagement — hell, she even sucked at kissing Trump’s ass. This entire cabinet is a disgrace from stem to stern. Every GOP senator is equally responsible for this disaster.

It’s simply not possible to pick a single track as McCartney’s best. What a legacy! But this is the one on my mind today.

Secretary Becerra has the experience, the courage and the temperament to be an outstanding governor. He’s the right man for these challenging times — thoughtful, competent and knowledgeable. He works well with others and understands how government works. Time for Democrats to get behind him!
Couldn’t disagree more. Biden is a wonderful man and did a fine job during his first 3 years. He ran in 2020 as a transitional figure who’d serve 1 term, but his team became reluctant to give up their power and thought they could hide Biden’s obvious decline. He was in no position to run again.
Oh, come on. Joe Biden is a good man who did a fine job in his first several years. But he was in no position to serve 4 more years, and his White House team tried to hide that because they didn’t want to give up power. They’re the ones to blame. An open contest would have yielded a better result.
Listen, almost any Democrat and many Republicans would be doing a better job than Trump. But as much as I like and respect Joe Biden, he was in no position to serve another 4 years. His team did us a grave disservice by trying to pretend that he was. Let’s be honest about this, for God’s sake!
There are many legitimate reasons why women don’t report having been sexually assaulted by professional acquaintances. Some don’t want to be typecast as victims. Some fear retribution. Others worry about the effects on family, relationships or career. Lots of legit concerns. Don’t blame the victims.
Why do you limit your comment to Swalwell and the Democrats? There are no doubt scumbags in both parties who help keep this sort of outrageous behavior quiet and they all should be ashamed. Hell, Gaetz and Trump openly bragged about their conduct.
Sharon Simmons seems awfully sweet, but she and millions of other good folk are being played for suckers by the GOP. Trump’s “no tax on tips” pledge offers only chump change while working folks are denied decent health coverage to fund massive tax cuts for billionaires. Wake the f up, Sharon!
Couldn’t agree more. Secretary Becerra has the experience, the courage and the temperament to make a first-class governor of whom we can all be proud. It’s vital to have at least one Democrat go on to the final election in November and Becerra is our best hope. Be sure to vote in the primary!
You’re so right. Kids and dogs are instinctively drawn to kindness and compassion. Obama’s like a magnet in that respect. The late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy had a similar gift. Then there’s Trump, who was filmed at last week’s egg roll telling children Biden was so far gone he had to use an auto pen.
So true. I was just thinking of the young man with a stutter who Biden befriended and encouraged as someone who’d overcome a stuttering problem himself. The contrast between that kind of decency and the cruelty of the current president couldn’t be more striking.
They see religion as a useful cudgel to bash the followers of disfavored religions and scare less-sophisticated Christians into line. It’s unconstitutional regardless of their motivation, but it’s especially sickening when the hypocrisy is so plainly apparent.
Reasonable minds can differ about Springsteen’s uber capitalist creds, but you’re full of it to say he never promotes other bands. I’ve seen him pull other artists up to join him at his shows and he often jams with other bands on stage, esp in NJ.
Yeah, he seems to have been an arrogant man on the make for a long time. These allegations are serious and substantial, and his video response looked awful. I’m glad so many Democratic leaders pulled the plug on him. Maybe he should run as a Republican?
Xavier Becerra appears to have the experience, the temperament and the courage to be a first-rate governor. I’m proud to support his campaign!
I think this guy would make a great governor — Secretary Becerra, not the puppy. 😊
Made my day. 😊 Thanks.
I’m with you.
Wrong for us in every conceivable way.
I hope not. The last thing we need is another billionaire who finds money alone isn’t enough and now hungers for adulation. He’s running a TV ad suggesting he’s paying for free lunches for all students in CA schools, which he’s not. This is a vanity exercise we can do without.
I was lucky enough to see both of the L.A. shows this week and the whole E Street Band was on fire — three hours of kick-ass rock that was a true call to action. Bruce’s courage and commitment are a true inspiration!
I’m still swooning about the “London Calling” concert DVD he put out a bunch of years ago. The man’s got awesome taste in music. I mean, covering Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream”?
Lucky enough to be there last night and when they started playing the 1979 Clash classic “Clampdown” from “London Calling” as their fourth number, you just knew it was gonna be a show to remember!
Too true!
Lucky to have seen Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at the Kia Forum in Inglewood last nite. It was not only a call to action, but a powerful reminder of the tools at our disposal in the fight to save our democracy — including truth, decency and community. Thanks, Boss!
