Using MS Word online is so great, because it's like using Google Docs that locks up every 30 seconds.

I love Milli Vanilli and I have no intention of ever stopping.

Medical offices these days expect patients to do an unreasonable amount of bookkeeping online before you show up to the appointment.

I just entered my own phone number about 55 times in a dozen forms so my son can go to the dentist tomorrow.

Sometimes I just give up and tell them to deal with it.

Whoa did any of my fellow Looking Glass homies catch this cameo in Black Mirror s7 ?!?!?

I actually still own this exact issue of this magazine!

Also this was an extremely rare example of media depicting video game developer culture that I didn't absolutely hate (in fact it was pretty good).

It's totally doesn't at all feel super creepy and exploitative that every image on the Stable Diffusion page is a sexy young woman. No notes. This is totally how I would want my totally legit and good-for-society product represented.

Hot take: the executive branch has too much power (even when it’s not wantonly breaking the law).

A video game HUD where an 8 is turned on its side to stand in for an infinity symbol.

Sometimes you really bring your best self and use an infinity symbol, other times you're too busy and important so you just turn an 8 on its side.

And instead it was a jumbled, self-serious plane crash where no one achieves karmic enlightenment, even if getting there narratively requires torturing their character unrealistically.

Rick and Chelsea of White Lotus season 3.

Rick and Chelsea of White Lotus season 3.

Ok now I'd like to see the original version of the White Lotus season 3 finale, the one before the horrible last minute rewrite, the one that follows through on foreshadowing, makes logical sense, is thematically consistent, and fulfills the promise of the season's confident and glorious story arc.

Imo this is totally readable and looks like a solid design.

I used to make these kind of structural diagrams for Thief levels! Wish I could dig some out of storage to show you, but they are back in Vermont.

P sure I made that exact picture before.

I was all "oh Unity has scene templates? that sounds like it might save work and not easily become corrupt with broken references that it doesn't mention but allows you to save into the file!"

A: Have fun in El Salvador.

We were there until my 1 yo son touched a swampy dead squirrel and we had to flee to the 7-11 for hand sanitizer.

See, I like the misdirection because you can look ahead and see that those words ALSO go with some other groups and slow your roll.
But the designer has to handle this well, not all: lol tricked you.

Right on cue, today’s Connections was the worst ever, with 12 symbols that could be grouped by any amount of arbitrary interpretations (including their own, which sucked).
They read Ian’s post and hold my beer’ed.

I am fully in support of requiring businesses to offer their collaborators fair terms and good compensation, but even so wow does California make it hard and painful for small indie studios to work with talent in California.

Dems said these guys were incompenent, and within a month they spectacularly demonstrated intense incompetence.

That said the badly-designed ones are definitely "sorry you didn't read my mind on this niche subject matter I love" and make me roll my eyes.

But I play most games to unpack the design more so than to win, so I still get something from the experience.

Connections is the only NYT puzzle I actually like. The well-designed ones have a balance of "the tools were there for me to figure this out" and "I fell for a trap; it's my own fault." You only need to solve 3/4 categories, which they lean on well.

Is that the one where the walls slide away and you realize Polito was SPOILER REDACTED? I implemented that! So cool, right?
