The edit history on this tweet shows that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif originally copied and pasted everything he was sent, including: "*Draft - Pakistan's PM Message on X*" Now, obviously, Sharif's own staff don't call him "Pakistan's PM," they would just call him prime minister. The U.S. and Israel, of course, would call him "Pakistan's PM." Would be funny if the fate of the world wasn't hanging in the balance.

There are lots of people in the Democratic base absolutely itching to do something about this. Scoff at their ineffectiveness all you want, but look at the sheer numbers who turned out for No Kings!

But they feel totally leaderless, which is paralyzing in the face of overwhelming horrors.

"This is a distraction" is just a lie. "They are taking your money and using it to commit criminal acts beyond our comprehension" is 100% true. I think we should tell the truth and not the lie. The latter also has the benefit of at least somewhat centering the issue of atrocities.

The goal of civilization as a technology, a tool, since its inception has been to civilize this barbaric quality, to strip out this base element and replace it with a new and better kind of human.

These people reflect a hostile instinct against that enforcing of right angles on a rugged world.

Whether you believe we were created by divine will or the fluke of the turnings of a cosmos that has been slowly dying since its inception, the true power of mankind is to create a world in our minds and evoke it into being.
