- The Konrad Curze Primarch book is the worst book I've read from BL. It feels like I just read a caricature that confirms to the meme standards of the Primrch that the actual primarch itself. At worst I feel it's written deeply insensitively/ignorantly on sensitive subjects such as mental health.
- I'm very tired of competitive 40k and the 3-6 month cycle of "balence" changes. Due to GW conflation of the standard game as the "competitive" one I feel forced to play only competitive and restrict my unit choices to have any feeling of Agency in the game and I feel I just can't keep up anymore.
- AoS isn't bad, but I've tried to get into it 3 times, and each time I've tried to get into it, it's been a negative experience. It feels like the WM/H crowd migrated to the game and what I believed to be a laid back crowd is instead hyper-competitive or TOW agents looking to sabotage new blood.
- The online community is over-reliant on memes and depends far too much on loretubers opinions than actually reading the original source. Far too many times I've seen/experienced belittlement because of army choices because a Meme or Loretuber said so. I feel the community has become more juvenile
- The YT community has changed and not for the better. What was once a small community which was filled with passion has devolved into excessive clickbait and a need for views and "respecting the hustle". It's became a lot more "cliquey" and harder to make friends in it for smaller/newer channels.
- I wish the Primarchs didn't return. The community treats the story as DBZ/Marvel power scaling than understanding/enjoying the grimdark setting that was built beforehand.
- each edition of 40k should have a 5 year life expectancy MINIMUM. 3 is far too quick.
- Turn 40k back to a setting. Turning it into a story has reduced 40k into being HH 2 with extra Xenos slapped in. At least get whoever's left on the Imperial Armour team to write the story.
- I'd much rather CSM get female Astartes than Chaos Primaris. I hate Primaris lore that much.
- 10E balence is not the most balanced edition. 10E is catered to the GT player who only wants hyper-lethality to be the only viable playstyle. Balence, to me, is a loose layman's terms equation of Agency + Internal/external disparity and 10E, 40k has failed that equation.
Star Wars The Roleplaying Game first edition from 1987 was so good I used the core rulebook rules for all kinds of short campaigns. Fantasy, sci-fi horror, pulp action, even a modern action game. The cinematic rules were great and easy to hack, so I got a lot of use out of it other than Star Wars.
