I love this! I can’t wait to read it!
I have a haiku joke, that can be told five ways.
I have a writer's joke, but the editor rejected it.
Ha! It’s a reunion!
Long before I could appreciate it, Police Squad was another of those shows.
Memories of an 80s youth. Right up there with Misfits of Science and Sledge Hammer!
<rant> What is it about a realtor that makes them think it's perfectly acceptable, in a depressed economy, and it is depressed with all the inflation here, to reach out and ask someone to sell their house? </rant>
An actor for the everyday man.
A philosophical question -licensing v. digital copies.
I own my music and will often make copies for personal use. The SCOTUS later cleared this.
But, for books, there is no way to make a digital copy of a paperback or hardcover book. Is it moral to use an OCR for backups?

Anyone? Anyone?
Alternative idea: Skip the romance, watch ‘80s or ‘90s action films while eating chocolate and drinking a beer or two. No flowers, no gifts. Just bad dialogue and unrealistic action sequences.
Turned 50 last Friday.
This morning, I got a be-lated birthday card, dated the 29th. In it, was well-wishes and a Starbucks card.
The amount - $7.34.
I'm wondering if I should spend it. I don't drink Starbucks, and the amount feels like zero effort, given the 5 decades.

Had one of those recently.
All I could do after I did a "reply-all" was lay my head in my hands and mutter, "BCC, BCC, BCC, why did you start with a BCC?".
This is important, re self-awareness about limitations of scope and reach. Even re book reviews. I know if I post about the WaPo review I was supposed to turn in I'll get well-meaning offers but the goal will be to place it somewhere with a similar audience. Working on reach is really important.
Thank you.
I have taken to believing that grief does not fade like a sunset turning into night. But it is more like bee stings, each as painful, inflicting more pain with each sting. But, like a bee sting, one eventually recovers but never forgets.
When Lucy was happy to be around you, her purr sounded like a pigeon or a dove. When she was nervous, she would raise her front paw into a curled fist. Yesterday, we laid our beloved 'tuxedo' to rest, granting her peace. She's survived by her adopted parents and two siblings. #RIP #Caturday
Sat through “Tron: Ares“ and I gotta say - no.
Compared to its predecessors, it forgot what made the IP fun and unique. It trades a digital world for a real one and spends too much time on the antagonist.
Overall, the storytelling fails to balance the real and digital.
Not a fan.
The better half (or maybe the bitter half) got me a membership to Criterion online, and we watched that last night. Still makes giddy with all the action sequences.
Just watched UNDERWATER for probably the fifth time. I feel like this film is criminally underappreciated. I know you all loved it, but I don’t feel like people talk about it nearly enough.
"... it kicks the llama's ass."
Merry Christmas to you all!
Just a heads up, some titles are now over $2.99. Might want to update the list.
Thanks for promoting this!
Thanks. Hadn't circled back on this one yet. I'll check it out.
Saw "The Buffalo Hunter Hunter" in Seattle at the UW bookstore (technically a Barnes & Noble) at a suggested reading end cap. Still need to get my hands on a copy. But not until I finish my current book.
Probably should ask where I can pick this up for that price.
Was there in September! Great spot!
Holy $#!T! Thank you, kind sir!
@realgdt.bsky.social I wanted to state that I loved your vision for Frankenstein.
That's it. That's my post.
