Anyway, I was really happy about the character animation as well as the voice acting, there wasn’t a single weak voice. Even if Bryce’s range is lacking, he was a fine (and funny) choice. Murro was my favorite voice acting.
Not only do we get a dramatic reconstruction of game 8, we now know how cipher machines work, and how some decoder (de)buffs play into the personalities we know. It’s a neat expansion into the roleplaying aspect of IDV
Most of my criticisms for most story updates released by Netease is usually regurgitation or reformatting of stuff we already knew. They have a reason to milk AOM and tease its lore because it’s the last game, and our playerbase has been conditioned to latch onto small details as “new content”

I’m almost certain the character animation in game 8’s cutscenes were motion captured, the subtlety and gestures caught inbetween dialogue were so good that this event is leagues beyond AOM’s story telling + content

I agree. I used to check up on Neocities and I can easily say that the interactions here are similar to NC's feed; less competitive, more snug, and people reached in without fear of being phased out.
It definitely feels more personal when all of us made the choice to move sns with the risk that we won’t get as much traffic as we did on the other place. The peace is much deserved, I’ve met nothing but an air of relief.

Now that i think about it, it would be interesting if they were drugged on manor grounds right before the trials during their last meals. I guess that’s why it’s so important for them to eat their favorite foods, or else they just pass them.
(It just seems like it would bear more results for the baron to split the participants apart rather than letting them walk in together in order to conduct experiments. That was like, kind of why you didn’t really know who the “hunter” is at the beginning of the match.)
Always headcanoned the formality for official matches was that the manor staff drugged them on manor grounds, drove them by chariot to either the actual locations or a duplicate stage nearby the manor, and then just laid them randomly in those stages. Hence random spawn locations.
