Archie newspaper strip dated January 31, 1973. Betty: People get more electric things than they need! Jughead: My uncle got ONE and only used it once! Betty: What was it? Jughead: The electric chair!

(living in a country where the most successful people are obscenely rich and shameless perverts and psychopaths) Time to teach my children to be honest and study hard in school
I might buy it to find out how a fast food place can afford that many employees
January 1978 cover of Pizzazz magazine, featuring Spider-Man, the Hulk, and Thor partying with the Hardy Boys, Kristy McNichol, Charlie's Angels, and the Fonz. There are pastries.
And here's the bronze medal winner
His playing certainly enhances the mood of this one youtu.be/aD4A5IzmgEs?...
Close up of AI slop image showing an adult hand growing out of the side of a baby’s head
One of those three hands is actually the baby’s ear
I have been using it since Illustrator 88 - the biggest hurdle for someone who is used to freehand drawing is learning to draw using bezier curves, which does take practice and is frustrating, as it's nothing like "real" drawing. Everything else is pretty figure-outable
It's a fallen world, but this font is still available from the fine folks at Emigre: www.emigre.com/Fonts/Modula
A screen capture of Joel Hodgson from MST3K holding his hand in the "OK" sign, captioned "It Stinks!"
What they mean when they say the visuals have a scent
Anyone ordering anti-ICE #stickers from a heavily targeted city— now #Portland, #Minneapolis, Chicago, DC, etc.— I'll throw in extra ICE GO HOME stickers to help, because fuck these chuds.

Jerry Mathers as The Beaver with his hair greased up with a forelock like he’s in the Misfits
Love this episode and the one where Beaver does his hair like Wolverine
Tweet by Jatin @jatinkmalik The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible
Surprise, surprise, updating to my Mac to Tahoe has bricked my Wacom tablet, which previously was working just fine. What's that you say, it's no longer supported? Glad that graphic design is a lucrative and growing profession, I'm sure I'll run right out and buy another
Was in a record store when Chris Isaak and drummer Kenny Dale Johnson came in. Isaak spoke with the owner while Johnson browsed near me. After a while Isaak came over and in a stage whisper said "I'm sorry, Mr. Johnson, I'm going to have to ask you to leave - we don't allow firearms in the store."
The after-the-fact glued-on letters remind me of my favorite daytime TV ad tag line:
(pre-recorded stentorian voice) "Available at all fine stores!"
(local nerdy voice) "and K-Mart!"
Somewhere I have a baby’s birthday card similarly improved by my high school friends to feature a scowling Mr. T advising that “a baby is a gift of love…”
Tie between a late-night triple-feature of 2001, Mad Max and the Road Warrior at the Camera Theatre in San Jose in 1986-ish, and Black Dynamite at the Red Vic in SF shortly after its release.
In stores now
I strongly recommend the Cannon Films documentary if you enjoy the later-period Death Wish films: youtu.be/-igpjqRDgDI?...

Directly below your post is another song with no chorus. Or the whole thing is a chorus (bam balam)

I saw “the Dwarves” and for a second thought you meant the band of the same name - maybe some day
This month I’ve had intense conversations with music people, art people, and publishing people, and the consensus across media is: things are fucked
