Was the favourite and stepped it up every time he needed to. Pushed hard by a few players but showed his class throughout. A deserved winner and a credit to darts.

MvG's form has been a little bit patchy but sense he'll bring his best tonight. It could be another Rydz game where MvG has inferior stats, but somehow finds a way.

Great to see underdogs win, people winning tour cards, great comebacks etc.

But there is always something electric about two heavyweights going toe-to-toe in a final.
