So far the Finnish reaction to the latest undersea cable damage has been excellent:
- Finnish authorities stopped the suspected saboteur Eagle S and directed it to Finnish territorial waters for investigation
- police and border guard boarded ship and took control
- 3km no fly zone around the ship

Cook Island flag oil tanker Eagle S lost 25% of her speed minutes before she crossed the broken cable Estlink2. She crossed at 10:26Z, ie the time of cable fault.

She proceeded at affected speed til she reached shallow waters, where she lost all momentum. After some maneuvers she regained speed.

Volck ja Budilovitš sattusid Toomel jalutades kokku ja Budilovitš osutab rahuloluga ülikooli peahoone poole, mille viilul ilutseb sinna just püstitatud õigeusurist: „Nu, kolleega, eks ole ju jilus?”, mispeale Volck vaikselt nendib: „Jah, tõepoolest, rist käib ikka haua peale."
