Black Bag (2025) - Film Review - flickfeast It has been a busy 2025 for Steven Soderbergh and David Koepp. Not content with releasing Presence in late January, the director and screenwriter have quickly followed that up by switching from spectr...

Presence (2024) - Film Review - flickfeast If someone buys a ticket for Presence expecting what some have dubbed “the scariest movie you will see this year” they might leave sorely disappointed. Just look at the current audience score on Rotte...

“Not your typical haunted house horror film… but for those attuned to its wavelength, #Presence will haunt you for days long after the credits roll”

Review of Nosferatu that reads:
Nosferatu? More like Yes-feratu.
Audiences will succumb to the darkness that permeates through every frame of Eggers’ adaptation of this classic vampire tale.
The cinematography, production design and score are all stunning, generating a sumptuous Gothic atmosphere dripping with menace.
The cast on the whole are great, with Skarsgard adding another iconic villain to his repertoire.
However the film’s only misstep is the casting of Aaron Taylor Johnson. He sticks out like a sore thumb, with his delivery and demeanour at odds with the tone created by the others.
Thankfully it is not enough to disrupt the dreamlike quality woven in this blood-curdling, beautiful nightmare.

#Wicked - This return to Oz is oddly flat in terms of visuals and choreography but the musical adaptation truly soars (defies gravity even) when focused on the relationship between Elphaba & Glinda.
Erivo is soulful and nails the big moments but it is Grande who impresses and a delightful surprise.

A great night celebrating the best of film and TV at the #BAFTAScotAwards
There is a LOT of fantastic arts and culture being made in Scotland and it should be supported at all levels in terms of funding, production and exhibition.
