I should point out that, obviously, #infosec is not my forte. Software creators would still salt and hash and store, and some might store in the clear. It might not solve much. But it would introduce extra whimsy. 🤔😳😤😨💩
Of course you'd get folks doing the usual and choosing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ or 💩💩💩💩💩. Hackers would release rainbow tables for all the common combinations. And some companies would demand uppercase emoji, or no more than 3 yellow-face emoji in a row... But if you had a story for your emoji you'd never forget it.
May have posted this already but had a #showerthought about passwords. Instead of having high-entropy passwords of 16-24 characters, why not just choose like 5 emoji? There's about 900 of the things so the entropy there is 900^5 which is... uuhh... a lot.
