In fact, I love a lot of the concept versions have been redesigned and remade into canon in the last 10 years. The X-Wings on the sequels are more in line with the concept X-Wing from the same series of toys and the AT-ST light from Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds was turned into Rebels’ AT-DP
I remember getting the concept AT-AT which they used for the prototype in recent canon like Rebels back in the 90’s and thinking “I wish they looked more like this, this one looks much cooler.” I couldn’t believe they finally made it canon when it first appeared in Rebels.

I’m aware you can abstain. I’m saying that it is not a requirement for them to do so. Attachments as a whole are not forbidden. Jedi aren’t against ALL attachments. They are against possessive attachment specifically. They teach you can love, but you must be willing to let go if necessary.
