Mass produced apps might soon be a thing of the past, for precisely this reason. The effort of making something from scratch that you can modify on demand is approaching the level of effort of downloading an app.

I will try it out later. What's your impression, is there a noticable increase in the usefulness of ChatGPT?

You are right. To be clear to anyone venturing this deep into the thread, two separate points:
(i) ChatGPT is useful for learning (for example by using my system prompt), and
(ii) Math Academy (which is very different from ChatGPT) is excellent for learning.

(None teaches calculus in two weeks)

Not at all what I'm saying. It is possible to skip college and learn calculus for $49/month.

Actual tutoring is almost surely better quality than ChatGPT but is much more expensive and not as "on demand". I think Math Academy is on par or better than human 1-on-1 tutoring (in a sense they try to emulate it using cognitive science and data science for how to best serve you the next step).

Math Academy

That is a very reasonable worry.

For calculus in particular, I recommend mathacademy.com (it is AI for education, but not for generation like LLMs.)

Math Academy

(shoutout to mathacademy.com that will teach you calculus _at your pace_. @benjaminjriley.bsky.social is perfectly on point, two weeks is a bit ridiculous.)

Take into consideration how I do on the questions, make sure to not leave any gaps in my knowledge, and do what is suggested by "The Math Academy Way" or by how the math academy website functions.

I want you to give me explanations and then quiz me. One concept at a time in different messages and if it is appropriate, give me several questions, one after another in different messages. Ask me some questions with some detail blanked out.

I would like you to act like the Math Academy website in that you give me questions that half of the time can be answered in less than a minute and only 3 percent of the time in more than three minutes.

Tutor me from the book I upload using the techniques from the PDF “The Math Academy Way”.
