In Canada it takes 5 minutes with no lineups.

Genes don't tell animals to sleep or hunt.

I was arguing that historical record and breadth/depth of language is what differentiates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Whales do not have libraries to read up on bubble-netting.

One thing we must realize is that animal communications are based solely on survival.

That includes sustaining social bonds and hunting and defense.

At this point we don't know which gestures and sounds relate to a particular action.

.. making them conscious.

From observations we know they are sentient by the affection they display.

What we do not know is if that 40 yr old whale is sapient (self aware) because we cannot communicate.

And THAT communication .. libraries, historical record and language are what make us distinct.

Other animals dive deeper .. swim faster .. fly higher and run at incredible speeds.

They have echo location and antenna to sense pheromones and vision to see in great detail.

They can hear better and can sense inclement weather.

We know that animals with brains process sensory inputs ..
