Rescue crews searching for overdue Bering Air plane with 10 aboard The Bering Air Caravan was reported overdue from its flight from Unalakleet to Nome, authorities said.

This story is getting a lot of attention, so just to be clear: aviation incidents like this are (unfortunately) relatively common in rural Alaska and don't necessarily have anything to do with any recent developments at the federal level. This is still bad though.
