I must read this. Assume it’s money laundering?!
We’ve turned off the heating and the dog has stolen a blanket!
Aren’t you supposed to be working?!! I could never work in a cafe as love to see and hear what’s going on
I realise this but we were living in the area and they passed the 11+. Yes it was very middle class but there was more diversity than in a private school and no we aren’t rich
One of the founding fathers?
I’m from a poor family and went to grammar school. I didn’t go to university but worked my way up to a senior role in finance. I think it gave me confidence. My sons went to Dr Challoners, no tuition, and then went on to Oxford University. It’s so hard as everyone wants what they think is the best
BBC News leading all its bulletins on demands by former Government advisor Lord Robertson for more defence spending, without at any point mentioning his current paid senior role for US defence lobbyists
🔴Reform-Run Kent Council Sells Off Antony Gormley Sculpture After Raising Taxes
Nigel Farage’s flagship council quietly sold Two Stones, one of the sculptor’s earliest commissions, as part of a wave of publicly owned art disposals that critics call “shameful”

Last year I was so excited by the duck and her ducklings in the beck behind my house. I was out regularly inspecting them. One day, after a summer storm, only the mum was there calling and calling. She continued for days. 🥲 let’s hope yours turn up soon

The ending of Burn After Reading came into my head this morning. Sums things up well.
(profanity warning, though nothing you haven't heard from Trump)

Surely this negates the argument about artefacts from abroad that they should stay in the UK as they’re free to visit
Well Oak Apple day should be fun this year
Our park is full of such benches but I find them depressing. Maybe because I’m getting old but I want to walk in the open air and not in a mausoleum
The Richard Tice tax avoidance thing relies on a legal loophole where he spent three year “looking for outside investors” for his property firm, then declared he couldn’t find any. So the defence is… my successful profitable property investment biz was a bit crap?

EXCL: Reform UK have been processing cryptocurrency donations through Poland, under a 'lax' regulatory regime which previously housed a Cambodian crime syndicate sanctioned by the US Treasury for laundering $4 billion in illicit funds (inc. proceeds from North Korean state-sponsored cyber heists)
I was thinking of the Saki cat and his waspish remarks but wombles good too!
Bit of a Tobermory too
Kemi de ville
I hope the price has doubled!!
Both of my boys went to Dr Challoners Grammar School in Buckinghamshire. They were both from a state school however we had moved from London deliberately for the schools. It’s so difficult as most parents want to do the best for their children
Maybe Clakton is the Russian spelling
137 8 hour days!!
Think of the poor child with a mother like me. I had one boy as Lion(curly orange wig and turmeric died tights) Witch(broomstick and cat) and Wardrobe (painted cardboard box to be worn until judging!) And yes I, sorry, he won!!
Life imitates art.
29 years ago, Wag the Dog told the story of a US president mired in sex scandal that threatened to undermine his presidency so he decided he needed to concoct a make-believe war to boost his support.
