been watching japanese people argue with mostly russians and brazilians about piracy and copyright on twitter. pretty fun. you can see a really high-level form of posting like sephiroth when they're going on about "barbarians with a culture of theft" or "just make your own if you like it so much"

the one point I have yet to see anyone really make is that if the entire international market was paying its fair share, then a lot of the edges would get sanded off this stuff to make it a more viable international product at the level of "who gets published at all"

been watching a jumping spider continually patrol the perimeter of my bedroom ceiling for like 48 hours. well. I guess he knows what he's doing
nice out
going to keep saying stuff like this until I end up in a Pattern Recognition type scenario
in general I wish we could somehow reset the argumentative norms of the internet, even though we certainly can't. still though, in my experience managing to volley even a single provocative statement from someone else with a tiny bit of grace or delicacy will often totally change their affect
come to think of it I guess the white house ballroom is probably this too, they're definitely building tunnels under there right
yeah after like 10 years of this shit it is extremely normal. you are trapped in a cage of cutesy irony, it is genuinely dog bites man level news
the first line of defense against bike thieves is not a bike lock it is an unappealing bike
it's so cool that we're far enough into the internet age that one of my treasured memories of my dad from decades ago is about how he went on the computer
you simply have got to stand up for weird, upsetting, or tasteless art in general I think. I remember one of my dad's preoccupations a little before he died was yelling at people online about the artistic legitimacy of super columbine massacre RPG
I kind of like that this has circled back around to the general profile of a horse-drawn carriage
that’s the moment when the moon creeps up to the bubbling of bassoons. that’s the time one looks at the elephant-colorings of tires!!
"right or wrong" is kind of a moot framing about stuff like this, people who perceive themselves to not be included in the social contract have no incentive to uphold the social contract it turns out
that's true: women aren't allowed to do this. if they try to cry and hug after a crater dedication they're performing their gender wrong. it's just for guys
this tagging system does great work picking out people who are Too Concerned about stuff
hard not to feel uncomfortable reading "skull shape" so many times in basically any context
great outfit for bob here, kind of an urban nun vibe
me and my friends are going to hang out at the Large Woman later
sometimes I see leaves against a blue sky in particular shades, or like, redbud trees with the pink flowers and the red leaves both coming in, and just for a second I think "those colors don't really go together," and if a billion years of evolution can't make me think so it must be god's fault
they should make her some kind of unwilling wiccan saint
inversely I guess it's also the closest a woman has ever been to the moon?
“Wake Forest”…don’t mind if I do…
I was thinking about why "street fashion" blogs were a thing for like five minutes a long time ago and I realized they stopped because everybody interested in fashion could already just put pictures of themselves online. kind of depressing somehow
I always roll down the window when I'm taking a picture out of my car so I don't get that glare in the middle... pretty unprofessional he couldn't be bothered to do the same
do you think like a fisherman on the the black sea in 219 a.d. was going "uggh this elagabalus guy. I've never been so embarrassed to be roman" I think he was just fishing

the president has to be at least 35, but you should also have to be 35 to vote for them and they should only govern people over 35. everyone younger should draw lots for their ruler and burn them in a wicker man each spring
