Saw people posting a lot more about palantir today, decided to check if anything happened...
Peter thiel and Alex karp need to be hit with a car made of exploding hammers.
Haven't seen anyone else talking about it yet, was I the first to get the half life alyx soundtrack on vinyl?
I have it on good authority that multiple mod developers watch my streams and try to plan for every possible "Jolly could screw this up" eventuality.
"Stand proud!"
Can't, I have scoliosis.
That's probably the one good side of vibe coding, it breaks servers so badly that they can't post about vibe coding.
ALMOST FORGOT TO POST THIS TODAY
Heard today that one of my favorite professors was getting laid off from his day job.
Sucks to hear that happening to people there, but at the very least it's good to know he's a professor on the side and not completely screwed.
windows keeps hallucinating monitors that don't exist I'm laughing so hard help
perfectionism is so often seen as a permissive ability to create or drive something towards perfection, but in reality, it's a crippling inability to let go of anything imperfect
it's an obsession, it stagnates you, and gets you stuck on things you shouldn't be
April fools video from today bombed, I guess people don't wanna see horses this month
Played this one a ton back in the early days, especially before they redesigned the rec center and when the level cap was 30. I will say though, introducing flat screen support made the game significantly more toxic, to the point I basically had to drop it entirely. Will miss it though.
Idk if it's an issue on mobile or something, but there's like 8 games on that list
I know it's probably just some troll with an iPad, but I personally like the mental image of some 7yo iPad kid getting mad at you more.
Basically this
Reminds me of a streamer I used to watch who thought apples were disgusting for a similar reason. If something most people like is spicy or painful AND it isn't a pepper, you have allergies.
She only drinks coffee at midnight When the moment is not right Her timing is quite Unusual You see, her confidence is tragic But her intuition magic And the shape of her body? Unusual
THIS STRANGELY SHAPED WOMAN WONβT STOP DRINKING NIGHT COFFEE

I'm not deeply involved in the slay the spire community, but was it actually review bombing or was it the same bug thats killing godots reviews in Indonesia?
had to make this games industry compilation after hearing digital foundry's really bad response to the dlss 5 backlash

If I'm a new user and I see all these hoops I have to jump through that windows and mac just don't have, then I probably won't care how good Linux is, I'm not gonna want to do this kind of stuff.
That said, I'm still here on Linux for the long run.
While it is certainly a problem that Linux doesn't do this automatically, the significantly bigger issue is that there's no one agreed upon way to do most of the things windows and mac have been doing for years.
It's definitely a problem. I distro hopped quite a bit briefly and eventually found that keeping a copy of my fstab was a good way to let things automount... until I switched to one that didn't support a drive format and bricked the computer briefly.
Forget everything I just said. I lost my Xbox socks to room service and I'm extremely sad and gutted about it.
And with that ends day 5 of GDC. Had a few good interviews to cap off the week, but it was mostly a chill day today spent in Chinatown and at the Nintendo store. This week was super fun and I hope to be back next year (if my school sends me again).
But not to mention, it was a really educational experience and I feel a lot more confident in my direction in the industry after I graduate. Still gonna be a few years, but I'm patient and I know it'll pay off in the end.
I'm forever going to be grateful for the opportunity to go this year, I got to meet a ton of really cool people and everyone was super nice and interesting to talk to, I GOT TO MEET PEOPLE FROM VALVE (my personal dream studio), it was so awesome.
