I had to stop reading Ben Bova books. It's just too real to see a future where the ultra rich control everything, regular people can die and no one cares, politicians and govt officials are easily bought, and the morality police control policy. It's not the escape in looking for.

#athought White men (WM) in the USA feel like they've lost status. The rise of affirmative action & executive overpay don't exactly mirror, but are similar. As income/pay of WM decreased, that of non-whites/CEOs increased. It's not due to AA, but to corp greed/pay. CEO pointed to AA as the problem

I've always enjoyed dystopian books until lately. Now when I read books like Animal Farm or Riot Act I see too much similarities with today. Now they aren't fun, they are depressing.
I was on Twitter for years and never saw any messages from any senators or congressmen, whether my district/state or not. I'm here now and I see them all the time. It's refreshing to see people in power talking about the BS that's going on rn.

I was genuinely sad the first time I read the last book. The series was with me for so long and after that book, no more books were coming out.
