I feel like people also forget that growth is not infinitely sustainable. At one point or another the audience for any given venture has reached it's saturation. Even with a social media platform that generally caters to a vast variety of people, there are only so many people around.

Bringing this back because this has been my life for the last week:

yeah there's a lot of "create weird art" and not a lot of "your favorite artist can't balance their shitty dayjob and emergency expenses with creating art" or "your favorite artist is burnt out because they've been doing more commissions than personal art for years"

I have a weak spot for the kind of old-timey fairy stories. Where they're just as likely to tear you to pieces as they are to help you. And A LOT in From reminds me of that.
