I’ve outgrown a lot of my old hobbies, but I will never not be hyped about space rockets. Still get that same feeling of pure excitement every single time!

Hopefully, once these watermarks become a standard part of the submission template, identifying them will become a 5-minute check rather than a half-day distraction.

I definitely understand the frustration of losing time on a review. We volunteered our time of day to do that

That said, prompt injections feel necessary for this first rollout to ensure the 'no-LLM' track carries weight. It's a massive shift, so there’s bound to be some friction.

The injections at least weed out zero-effort AI generated reviews that are not even checked by the reviewer.

Good point, but for the non-LLM review track, the prompt injections can’t be discovered without using LLM.

For other tracks, I guess the community will get used to this. The injections are generated in a way that shouldn’t affect the reviews.

I see no problems. The watermarks are included in the general submission template, but they are only flagged for the non-AI reviews track. The desk rejected reviewers knowingly violated a stated policy.
