If this Bill is progressed, it must be substantively modified to ensure that governments are able to balance a range of rights and interests, including the public good, and to meet obligations to Māori under te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We have submitted on the Regulatory Standards Bill. We are strongly opposed to this Bill. We are very concerned it will fundamentally reshape Aotearoa New Zealand’s laws, regulatory systems and government policies in ways that would impede key public health priorities and undermine Pae Ora.
