Proof of life

I've been working 8 to 5 for two weeks in a row and I have two more weeks doing that. Surprisingly I'm still alive

After The Unquiet I wanted answers about Parker's conversation with The Collector, but having a novel focusing on Louis and Angel was a treat. A detective series needs a great sidekick but Parker has two great ones

Bit like The Secret History in that it's about a bunch of people doing questionable academic things, but with magic.

I've only read a few of his books (he has loads) but I enjoyed a lot the ones I read and this one is the best

Much like Lady from the Black Lagoon this was a great read, and I was lucky enough to get a signed copy through a Discord buddy

When I read this book for the first time I thought "Shit's starting to get real" but I was proven wrong a few weeks after this reread

The moment that annoyed me today, I was making eggs and she kept doing a running commentary, and at some point she was like "You're too slow. You have to do it faster."

At that moment I just stopped, pointed at the grill as if saying "You do it then" and went on my break
