When developing with AI, learning is still important. Because if you don't you'll just keep asking AI to teach you what you don't know and waste tokens. AI is a multiplier, if you know little AI will benefit you little but if you know much AI will benefit you much as well.

The illusion of productivity tools is that it buys you more time for yourself. But the truth is it just allows you to do more in the same amount of time of work.
ps: Having more time for yourself is a boundary you choose.
AI may be taking away some of developer jobs today. But I think that’s only temporary while companies try to figure out how to best utilize AI. Once that’s established there will be re-hiring of developers, with an expectation to do MORE!

Programming with AI significantly reduced the times I find myself in a dead end. It's the best time to be a programmer!
When using PHPStan/Larastan, they said start with Level 1 and just work your way up.
I say go high and have Claude fix them. In just an hour our codebase is now at Level 8.
We have 2360 PHP files and 265,891 LoC.
Programming is transitioning away from practicing complex code to practicing clear communication.
Pair programming with AI feels more natural when you're talking to it instead of typing instructions to it.
Monologue is a game changer for me for sure.

I got Nightwatch to work on our Vapor setup. It will require a separate EC2 that’s on the same network. Then just set the NIGHTATCH_INGEST_URI env to the EC2 private IP, and make the agent listen on the same IP. 😎

A few cases I use it for:

- Mailbox for notification
