I just realized: it's kind of nice seeing these together, isn't it?

4 panel silly comic in black lines only. A blob guy has a big pencil. It says “I draw”. In the second panel he seems happy with his drawing and it says “all done yeah”. Panel 3 shows him holding up the drawing of a triangle with legs and a happy face. He goes “come on”. In the final panel he’s very pleased with himself, closes his eyes and tells himself “I’m a bit incredible”

Ich wollte dir mehrfach Hallo sagen, aber das Timing war immer schlecht - dein Stand war jedes Mal gut voll. Ich hätte gegen Ende dann nochmal versuchen sollen, aber selbst ohne Stand war ich voll KO, sorry 😭

Danke ☺️ Hab gerad mal nachgeschaut, in dem Fall hab ich die Seite einfach leer gelassen. Das mach ich glaub ich meist, manchmal kleb ich auch was auf. Oder ich zeichne trotzdem drumherum oder so, haha

Anyway, I was kind of full of energy and inspiration, until mentioned daily routines pulled me back into my dry adult life full of tedious obligations. I wish I could escape it's iron claw more effectively... I'm working on it.

I even got asked a few times when I'll table again. That really made me happy and definitely send me into a "What if next year..." dream-spiral for the rest of the weekend, haha. I'd really love to, and I'm sure it would be so much fun. But there's also some major points to consider beforehand.

So I was at MCC/bookfair Leipzig last weekend, and it's always so incredibly hard to get back into my daily routines. I miss my friends, I miss laughing with them and talking about the stuff that excites us, all the while being surrounded by all these creative people, comics and books.

Ich habs leider Sonntag nicht geschafft, dich noch mal zu erwischen!! Aber ich hab mich gefreut, dich mal kurz wieder gesehen und gequatscht zu haben 😊

There are bold marker strokes in green, dark green and yellow, and some shading and hatching done in wax pastel, which makes the areas very textured.

Sketchbook page. Done last year, in a nervous state, because it was the evening before my cat's dental. You know. I mostly made and make a lot of pretty clean art. But honestly? I love this raw, sketchy look, too. Done with marker and one of my favourite tools: Neocolor Wax Pastels ✨

The same happened to me when I saw his work for the first time last year. I was completely in love head over heels in the first seconds. I've been thinking about his work so much since then.
