Totally agree about Tumblr! It has its own problems of course (like not allowing nsfw art 😭), but it’s much easier to find the fan content I want (beautiful art, cool gifsets) and avoid the stuff I don’t (discourse, wank, spoilers) there. And yeah, it feels like every fandom is awful these days. :/

Less flippantly, I've decided that I don't really want to be a part of fandom spaces anymore; I realised that I enjoy things a lot more when I'm not involved in the fandom.

I'm still on Tumblr because its format makes it easier to dip in and out, while maintaining a healthy mental distance.

Toss up between Davrin and Lucanis for me! I genuinely cannot decide between them at this point, so it’s gonna be whichever one steals my heart.

Being a woman with opinions on the internet is exhausting.

We only got cinematic trailers for female Shepard in ME3 and female Ryder in Andromeda after fans pushed back. I can be a fan and still be critical of their marketing decisions + ask them to do better.

And I would have loved if they’d used the same Rook this time, but that wasn’t a cinematic trailer, it was a gameplay demonstration. My point is that Bioware has a history of always using white male human characters in their cinematic trailers: Origins, DA2, the original ME trilogy, MEA.

Also disappointed but not surprised that it's 2024 and Bioware is still afraid to use anything other than a generic looking white guy protag in their trailers.

I loved that too! I spent so much time just driving around in the Nomad with different squad combinations trying to trigger all the banter. 😂 At least we got the iconic elevator ride conversations in ME1 haha, but it would have been nice if they'd commented while driving around in the Mako too!
