屁...屁屁(被女王揍)
Chiyo clicked her tongue in frustration, propping her chin in her hand. The target’s impressive skills had intrigued her at first, but after dragging on for so long, her patience had worn thin. “Since this ambush plan was your idea, you better get moving, Koharu-chan”
“Well, she wouldn’t want to put the target’s life in danger. That would defeat the whole purpose,” Kanna chimed in, her usual cat-like smile resting on her face.
One of her seniors, wearing heart-shaped sunglasses, quietly shuffled back and leaned in to whisper, “Don’t be fooled by Chiyo-san’s usual battle-crazy attitude. When she’s on target duty, she’s very disciplined and refrains from attacking.”
“I mean, I’ve seen Chisato’s extraordinary skill in action, but this is Cupid’s arrow of love we’re talking about! She shouldn’t be able to see it!”
“I just don’t understand how she pulled it off,” Chiyo muttered, feeling a sting of humiliation she had never experienced before. It wasn’t like she cared about finding the most suitable match for the target—every task she handled had never failed.
The youngest and least experienced of the group, Cupid Koharu, crouched behind her seniors with her twin ponytails swaying slightly as she moved. Her cautious actions paired with her blunt, straightforward words were such a contrast that Chiyo almost missed the insult entirely.

“So, this is the target that you seniors couldn’t handle after seven months?”
Takina could only nod and try her best to believe that everything would be okay. Feeling uneasy but determined to trust her partner, she lay beside Chisato, slowly drifting into sleep.
She gave Takina a reassuring smile, gently taking her hand.
“After midnight, it’ll be fine. Maybe my body’s just tired… or maybe even the mischievous spirits are calling it a night too,” Chisato joked with a cheeky smile.
Because of Chisato’s frequent odd behavior, it was much later than usual by the time both of them were ready for bed. As Takina hugged her pillow, standing at the bedroom door, she hesitated for a brief moment—a hesitation that Chisato, with her sharp eyes, didn’t miss.
Chisato flashed her a small, sheepish smile. “It’s strange… it’s like I get all clumsy whenever you’re around, Takina. Hahaha.”
“…I’ll do everything I can to help you, Chisato,” Takina said softly.
“Oh? Such a reliable partner!” Chisato grinned playfully.
Though Takina didn’t think it was that big of a deal, she respected Chisato’s wishes and waited outside. From time to time, strange noises continued to escape from the bathroom, causing her to bite her lip in silent frustration. When Chisato finally emerged, unscathed, Takina let out a relieved sigh
