The Army loves a platter in a meeting; fruit, pastries, deli sandwiches. Trust me, this is within my expertise. Also, the steak, lobster, and crab legs. This could either be because they needed to spend a lot of money, or, they were like… feed them good they might have to war.

The fiscal year ends in October, so it’s not uncommon to see an insane influx of spending in September. With that said… a grand piano… really? Hegseth didn’t spend all the money himself. There are a huge number of individuals spending this money.

Look, I hate, Google Pete Hegseth Monterey; he’s probably in the top 5 on my hater list. However, spending the surplus is something that has always been done, from 2006-2010 it was like Christmas for me. The culture in the US Army, at least, is “if you don’t use it, you lose it.”
