I did a little games jam over January with some friends, where we tried to make 4 small games in 4 weeks in #pico8. This was the first week's game. I did the programming, and my partner did the art. All in all, I'm pretty happy with it, for a first go at pico-8

Oh, hey there Raven
I'm currently making my first Pico-8 game, and I swear I'll have that cheat sheet burned into my retinas by the time I'm done
I’m enjoying the Seance of Blake Manor so far, but my god are those sigil puzzles annoying
The box art for Sky Oddysey on the PS2, showing a yellow swordfish flying down a sandstone canyon
More people should play Sky Odyssey on the PS2. It’s a hidden gem of a flight sim with a tonne of varied missions
Ah, I’ll leave you to it then, have fun!
Which grifter sided with capital?
As someone who’s eternally out of the loop, who’s done what now?
Film you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel.
this is my new favourite thing

The 1946 expansion for IL2 touched on this. Try as I might, I don’t think I ever landed the Heinkel Lerche successfully
I totally forgot about this game! It's a totally unhinged Mad Max Yakuza game. Such a hidden gem
MK7 really is a forgotten gem of a Mario Kart game, and set the bar for Mario Kart 8. Two stage drifts, jump boosts, rally stages; it's got the lot! Some surprisingly good courses too, on the first couple of cups at least
I get the impression that Andrew W.K likes to party
I love the idea, I just wish it had proper buttons. Those silicon pad things don’t look great
I DID IT! I finished a JRPG!
For years, I've wanted to make a huge virtual Library generated from Wikipedia, and have the player act as a librarian; finding and returning articles and sorting shelves. I always underestimate the sheer scale of Wikipedia though.
What’s HexyOS?
Just played the first few holes; seems awfully similar to Desert Golf
Cross-Origin request blocked
These were trialled in my home town. They’re pretty neat, and were a godsend during Covid
It's just his opinion; it's not a personal attack on your favourite game. And from what I've played of it, I tend to agree; it feels kind of soulless compared to previous skate games, and the monetisation is egregious.
I played this a while back and it was a really nice time. An absolute steal at €4
Excellent! Just followed, hope that helps push you to number one!
Replit used to be good years ago. It was a little programming scratch pad. You could spin up an environment in a bunch of different languages, and just try code out in your browser. It tried it the other day though, and it constantly tried to shove AI down my throat; it's kind of unusable now
GT4 might be the best racing game ever made
I’d love to order one of these pots; they look absolutely amazing. They seem really delicate, though. Do you reckon they’d survive shipping to Australia?
A little off topic, but that’s a lovely looking mug.
But making the game is the fun part
And it runs natively on a mac, for all three of us mac gamers out there!
