I'mma need some Little Finder Guy merch pronto, thanks.
As someone who was part of the last generation before giving all students a school computer became the norm, I believe that while technology in the classroom has its place, there should absolutely be heavy restrictions on both accessible content and time used.
RIP to this ridiculous punchline of a machine.
I cannot believe Tim Apple would say this.
Honestly, this is still absurd. Can you imagine having to wait a full day for Microsoft's permission to install an "unsigned" .exe on Windows?
I've experienced this behavior recently on Reels, and I found it so unintuitive. Tapping on a playing video should always pause it or show playback controls. Mute isn't a primary action and doesn't need to be center stage.
"America First" means America alone. Don't insult your allies and expect them to not turn their backs on you.
New Death Cab soon, finally! Sounds great.
As someone whose teenage years consisted of using ShapeShifter and CandyBar to make my iMac G4's OS X install absolutely hideous and barely functional by today's standards, this essay really resonated with me. The Neo seems like a great entry point for those young ones who love to tinker.
🧵 2/2 However, I realize I am not the target demographic. For any non-technical users, students, and the Mac-curious, I would absolutely recommend the Neo. The value it packs in with that quality of hardware and software (especially with student discount) is extraordinary. It will sell really well.
🧵 1/2 I would personally not get a MacBook Neo over an Air. The specs are limited (256GB of base storage with a fixed 8GB of RAM is simply constraining) and the loss of quality-of-life features like MagSafe, backlit keyboard, and Touch ID (missing on the base model) is too big of a compromise.
As useful and powerful as AI is, it can also be addictive and dangerous. It's very easy to lose yourself in it and believe everything it tells you as fact.
New americ anfootball single is 🔥. Can't wait for LP4.
This weather app looks astounding, and I can't wait for the Android version to be available. Ever since Dark Sky and Weather Timeline were discontinued, I've been looking for something new.
Nothing will ever beat that gorgeous "Bay" blue color of the Pixel 8 series.
This has no right being this catchy.
I don't say this lightly, but TikTok (and other short-form video services, such as reels) is incredibly addictive (especially towards teenagers who don't have the discipline and willpower to resist), lowers attention spans, and is a cancer on our society.
This is why it's important to make the effort to switch to Firefox. AI doesn't need to permeate every facet of our lives. There should always be a simple way to opt out. I switched from Chrome about a year ago due to the Manifest V3 extension controversy and I haven't looked back.
It affected only Verizon, so AT&T took the opportunity to do some light ribbing.
AI chat toy company Bondu left its web console almost entirely unprotected. Researchers who accessed it found nearly all the conversations children had with the company's stuffed animals.

We forget how reliant we have become on modern technology until we are forced to go without it for a few hours.
I don't know what I'd do without Markdown.
The surveillance state is here, and we are living in it.
If you can't wait for this horrible year to end, start counting down to the end now.
When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
Honestly, I'm not entirely opposed to this. If modern social media had existed before I was sixteen, I wouldn't have allowed myself to use it then either. There are many things on these apps that literal children shouldn't be exposed to yet.
