8/ It also shows just how far the party of Lincoln and civil rights has fallen. They once supported liberty, equal rights, and equality for all, but now, they support only bigotry and fascism. They have truly become everything they hate.

7/ Today's Republicans would have been Democrats in the 19th century, and today's Democrats would have been Republicans then.
The fact that they're making the *exact same arguments* proves this.
6/ This is the perfect proof of something I've been saying for years: the parties have essentially switched sides and pulled an ideological 180.
5/ On the other hand, Democrats widely *opposed* the 14th Amendment when it was proposed. They also opposed the Supreme Court's holding in Wong Kim Ark. And now, they're defending exactly what they opposed over a century ago.
4/ . . . written in the plain text and what has been affirmed by numerous courts and laws over the past 150 years.
3/ And now, as I write this, Republicans are in the Supreme Court arguing the *exact opposite*. They're arguing that an amendment *they wrote*, that was affirmed by a Supreme Court comprised primarily of people nominated by *their party*, means something completely different than what is . . .
2/ In 1898, the Supreme Court upheld this in United States v. Wong Kim Ark, affirming that all people born on U.S. soil are full citizens.
Four out of the six justices in the majority were appointed by Republican presidents.
1/ In 1868, the Fourteenth Amendment was formally adopted as part of the Constitution. Among other things, it guaranteed that all people born in this country, "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof", are full citizens.
This amendment was written and widely supported by Republicans.
Then, after we get supermajorities in *both houses of Congress*, we can impeach and prosecute EVERY single member of this criminal, fascist regime.
MAGA Republicans are considering making *more* cuts to healthcare to pay for Trump's illegal war in Iran.
You know what? I hope they do it. Cutting healthcare in an election year will guarantee they lose by the widest margin IN HISTORY.

The President of the United States is a war criminal.
Fact, not opinion.
As millions protest at No Kings this weekend, the Trump regime is violently cracking down on people exercising our 1A rights.
As a human rights lawyer, I share 13 things you can do to better protect yourself and your community from Trump's goons.
No paywall. Please share.
Seems to be the pattern…
It's Dubya's "no exit strategy" blunder all over again. Republicans are clearly incapable of learning from their mistakes.
Pretty sure that's how Skynet started.
Spanberger's rebuttal speech was one of the best I've ever seen. She clearly & indisputably showed that Trump and the GOP have lied about everything, that they've made Americans *less* safe, secure, that we're *less* able to afford our groceries and prescriptions.
Remember that in November. #SOTU
Abigail Spanberger is systematically dismantling Trump's lies and proving that he is an abject failure. #SOTU
I'm honestly surprised I made it through that. No, seriously, I actually felt like I was going to vomit at one point. That was the longest #SOTU speech in history, and will go down as one of the worst, most vicious, and most lie-filled.
Trump said that "we're working very hard" to end the war in Ukraine.
I'm confused; I thought he promised he would end this on his first day back in office? #SOTU
Trump started his "I ended 8 wars" rant (which is false, by the way), and the camera panned over to Marco Rubio, who did NOT look happy. At ALL. Seriously, that man is MISERABLE. #SOTU
Pretty hypocritical for Trump and the GOP to whine about Democrats not standing and clapping much when they did EXACTLY that to Biden and Obama. I watched nearly all of their #SOTU addresses, and the GOP just sat stone-faced for all of them.
If Trump cares so much about keeping violent criminals off the streets, then why did he pardon 1,500 of them on his FIRST DAY IN OFFICE? #SOTU
I fully agree we should reject political violence in all of its forms. But Trump has spent the last decade stoking it at every turn. The man who incited an INSURRECTION has no business whining about political violence. #SOTU
Trump has spend most of the speech taking shots at Democrats. Remember when Presidents tried to unify people? Seems so long ago. #SOTU
Fact Check: NO state is performing gender transitions on children against their will or that of their parents/guardians. That is a baldfaced LIE. #SOTU
Pretty galling of Trump to claim that Democrats have "bad policy" when TWO-THIRDS of the country disapproves of HIS policies. #SOTU
If Trump hates drug lords so much, then why did he pardon TWO of them in his first year back? #SOTU
Trump's demonization of Somali immigrants is STRAIGHT from the Nazi playbook. This is PURE fascism. #SOTU
So a man found liable for DECADES of fraud and fined HALF A BILLION DOLLARS is suddenly AGAINST fraud?
If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. #SOTU
Yes, my investment account is currently at an all-time high. But it grew something like 26% *LESS* last year compared to 2024. And that's because of Trump's policies. #SOTU
