Don’t panic: A field guide to the runaway greenhouse the Earth may eventually turn into Venus, but not anytime soon

There is a lot to worry about with climate change, but "runaway" feedbacks are not one of them. Good piece by Andrew Dessler over at The Climate Brink on how climate feedbacks work and why the Earth is different from Venus:

Very disappointed that @ioppublishing.bsky.social intends to publish a paper on "Earth's human carrying capacity", a discredited concept that is empirically and theoretically empty.

The evidence is crystal clear:
"Human Carrying Capacity" is a myth and a fallacy.

I met Paul several times - a personable man.

So disappointing that he had two major flaws as a scientist:

1> he did not change his mind when the evidence proved him wrong.

2> he violated public trust in science by promoting ideas that were already proven wrong.
