Had a great time at #ROCGameFest , nice meeting @littleonedev.bsky.social @aesthetic.games @lakegeorgegameexpo.com and others!
I'll be there, can't wait!

I've got a nice procedurally generated map in my #Godot #Roguelike #Deckbuilder, complete with a directed acyclic graph, traversal, music, and sound effects. nullband.games/posts/2026-0...

Two weeks of heads-down work on my #Godot #roguelike #deckbuilder have resulted in automated CI Steam deployments, @fmodstudio.bsky.social reactive music and SFX, @yarnspinner.dev dialogs, and more. Playtesting through Discord coming soon!

I pledge not to block myself and to give coherent bug reports, if any, after searching to see if it's already in the issue queue
well dang
guess i'm making an unstable branch in my project tomorrow morning
Of course! If you'd like another patient alpha tester (and former software test engineering director), let me know. No rush either way, I've got my own backlog I'm working on :-)

Blink, and you'll miss it! These are Carly and Cinder, the secret cats.
I just sponsored @yarnspinner.dev on @github.com in anticipation of the upcoming GDScript release! Go sponsor your open source dependencies!
I moved my #roguelike #deckbuilder to Godot State Charts, added scenarios and selection, a new enemy, and revamped the effect system. The game is increasingly coherent; animations and sound effects are next! nullband.games/posts/2026-0...
Bonus: secret cats. 🤫
Well, I've got a server, it's pretty dang quiet and primarily focused on the game I'm working on, but I don't mind sharing. You'd help moderate?
This week, I've added a new evade mechanic, sticky controller targeting, multiple opponents, and a scalable data foundation. Also, a fix for a sneaky CI issue for silent GUT failures. I'm getting closer to a vertical slice! #godot #roguelike #deckbuilder nullband.games/posts/2026-0...

I've been adding controller navigation to my #godot #roguelike #deckbuilder and been learning about layer-based focus. Must not get too distracted by #SteamNextFest ... nullband.games/posts/contro...

I made some great progress this week on my #Godot #roguelike #deckbuilder, but I realized a mechanic I spent a lot of time on didn't work... re-evaluation and iteration are good!

Take a gander at /r/godot/ /r/IndieDev/ /r/IndieGaming/ - those communities work well when you participate and share; I would avoid just blatant advertising posts. You can buy ads there.
Like paid advertisements, or raising awareness? Reddit was the one place I identified as having the most reach for paid advertising about what I'm doing, but my understanding is that these days, Keymailer/influencer campaigns are more effective for getting eyes on your product.

Nice job, I dig the music, and I don't think I've seen this exact combination of mechanics before!
I'm really excited; I now have a playable #Godot #roguelike #cardbattler, with the frontend coordinating with the backend, which handles adjudication and state management! Learn more about how I did it, & join the Discord if you'd like to playtest in the coming weeks - nullband.games/posts/connec...
New Relic data nerd trophy, which is a golden astronaut.
If I recall, I earned this for analyzing some really weird traffic patterns for an enterprise client and eventually determining it was network saturation; some hardware upgrades fixed it.

Sorry about the loss of the todos, that's really frustrating! On the plus side, a clean slate and you'll likely recall the most important ones.
Making some UI progress on my #Godot #roguelike deckbuilder, hooking up the backend engine with a frontend... It's coming together! Next step, finishing with the main game loop!
In my latest #Godot #indiegaming #roguelike #deckbuilder update, I've made great progress with the core gameplay loop and have modeled multiple battles from start to finish. Next up: a wireframe UI to gather player feedback!
