Epic fail by all the pollsters

I hope - its interesting that now on TV some of the commentators saying the pollsters didnt have a model to predict a 2 party race so there were far more unknowns. I did not see that reflected in what pollsters were saying.

The problem is pollsters predicted 24-25 Liberal seats out of Atlantic Canada and a much larger % of the vote going Liberal - if they are wrong in the Atlantic Provinces how wrong are they elsewhere. This is a worrisome trend.

I’d like to see Poilievre lose Carleton - but then again after blowing a 20+ point lead maybe it will be just desserts for him to face the wrath of his party for such an epic fail. If Liberals win, he will be sent packing.

I hope Carney wins tomorrow - but the election is close. Ekos only has the Liberals ahead by 3% in the group of voters who are yet to vote. A huge turnout will overcome any advantage to the LPC of the advanced poll.The party with the most motivated voters can still win.

Not sure what has happened to the Ekos poll - understood was going to be out at 5pm today - does anyone have an update?

Hard to know if Frank Graves was just stirring it up on X to rile-up the tin foil hat brigade - same bunch of right-wing conspiracy theorists who are convinced Premier Ford is a traitor, a Liberal in disguise, a member of the global conspiracy in bed with Carney, or whatever sad delusions they hold.

You know who is supporting this - wanna be Trumpians most of who live out West and know that a vote for Poilievre is a vote for Team USA. Tomorrow, vote for PM Carney, vote for #TeamCanada.

Today’s opinion polls don’t really matter - what counts is your vote tomorrow. We live in a democracy, hope you will exercise your right to vote. While I believe we need a strong Liberal majority, Canadians need to decide not pollsters, not media pundits, not tech bro disinformation on social media.

Unless the Conservatives win a majority/minority, any other result will be disastrous for Poilievre’s leadership. If the Liberals elect a majority, its hard to see a scenario where Poilievre remains as CPC leader - he blew a massive lead. Fingers crossed it will be the end of his career in politics.

The problem with Conservatives is they don’t understand Mark Carney is seen as an old school blue liberal/red tory who fits the mold of Bill Davis. While Poilievre is arrogant, abrasive and ignored the lessons learned by Doug Ford. When faced with a crisis, who did they think Canadians would choose.

I haven’t seen any analysis on whether there’s been a substantive change in voter’s intentions since last weekend’s advanced poll where 7.3 million voted. In theory if the Liberals received 43-45% of those votes then the CPC needs more votes than the LPC on Monday to catch up and win.

Go on twitter it totally sets off the right wing conservatives when you say Ford’s name - they are besides themselves because they think Ford stabbed Poilievre in the back. They actually think Ford is Trudeau - bizarre.

Actually we will have Doug Ford leading the Conservatives.

I reluctantly went on X to see if Graves had posted the last Ekos results. I then checked to see what was being said. Its would be hilarious how Ford and Houston are being called traitors and Liberals -except its also sad. Poilievre’s rage farming has left too many believing slogans are solutions.

Not the Leger poll - Liberals have 48 to 40 lead in Ontario - not sure how translates into seats but if Liberals get out and vote the Liberals should end up with most seats and hopefully a majority. What’s interesting Carney is supposedly going to Saskatoon and Calgary tomorrow to try pick up seats.

We don’t need this insane bs in Canada - Poilievre and his Trumpian right-wing policies needs to be stopped. Vote for Carney on Monday.

As much as I’d like to see him lose his seat, I think he’s still a safe bet to win - not a large enough NDP presence to vote strategically and swing to the Liberals.

At the end, Carney alludes to the fact that Doug Ford is already taking care of Fox News with his appearances.

Media is pathetic - why don’t they just read & report on Trump’s interview with Time released today. Trump wants Canada to be the 51st state & he means it according to Trump. That is the only story. Poilievre, Singh, Blanchet and the media don’t get it. You know who does? Doug Ford and Mark Carney.

This is well worth watching to the end where Carney sings the praise of Doug Ford on Fox news to counter Trump and tariffs. Make no mistake Carney and Ford know that together they will make a strong Team Canada - standing up for our country, our jobs and our values. Vote Team Canada, vote Carney.

All the media hysteria yesterday shows how much they, Singh, Blanchet and Poilevre have lost the plot. Premier Ford said yesterday Trump means to take us over, Carney has been saying it since the campaign started. Now Trump said it. There’s only one leader with a plan. Carney. Vote for Team Canada.

You know what is morally rotten to the core - politicians like Singh and Blanchet putting their interests above country. If you want to be American good luck to you - but no thanks I will vote for Carney and Canada.
