One dream, one soul
One prize, one goal
One golden glance of what should be
It's a Kai Madgwick
One shaft of light that shows the way
No mortal man can win this day
It's a Kai Madgwick

My new phone was posted to my old address where I haven't lived for sixteen years. This isn't a mistake that's happened before so my only hope is my childhood home's new inhabitants are big Sooz Kempner heads and get in touch. ORRRRRR they know someone who is.

Please repost for me to receive phone.

The types who wax lyrical that Enoch Powell could speak fluent Latin sre rarely as impressed that my Dad speaks fluent Bengali. Yet it's a totally different alphabet, it's not a dead lamguage, and it's fr more useful for negotiating for something "not on the main menu"

Just woke from a dream where i'd suffered an internet pile on for calling out Simon Heffer on Question Time. Ive worked hard to create a more exciting subconscious than this

Thinking of starting a substack. Dreaded words, I'm aware. Has anybody made it work for them?

WORD FACT

In Walter Scott’s 1820 novel Ivanhoe, “free lance” is used to describe a medieval mercenary — literally, an independent “lance for hire”.

Today, “freelance” refers to anyone who works independently.

I had some people round for dinner last night, and I tried to impress them with a sauce created from vodka, gravy and nitrous oxide. But all I've done is make myself an absolut laughing stock.

Just the word Budapest reminds me I once thought George Ezra's music showed promise.

Since diagnosis ive done four full length shows, several radio shows, survived old school covid, two heart attacks and a critically panned eponymous tv showdown. That im still operating at this level is due to taking the meds, exercise and saving the darkest bleakest moments for private. Buy my book.

I'd love to wholly carpe the diem. But Parkinson's is a pragmatic fight against an unglamorous slow decline where work must come first middle and last. I'm not unlucky. I'm supremely lucky to have twin careers, be self employed and have agency in how I present my public face.

Thread. On World Parkinson's Day on Saturday i performed three comedy gigs including closing the Banana Cabaret and the late show at the Comedy Store.

To do that i had to cancel a quiz and replace it with a big afternoom nap.

Every day involves juggling the meds and sleep to maximise work.

I'd be feeling more smug about Trump et al backing Orban if i hadnt tipped the second Mullins horse Grangclare West to win the Grand National on Saturday.

Tonight I will take to the stage at the Banana Cabaret in Balham for the last time. A legendary old school, no frills alternative comedy venue where as a Tooting medical student i first fell in love with live stand up.
In 1990 i never imagined that one day I'd be a veteran there.
Thanks Dave et al.

The most definitive evidence i can find that One Sinha Lifetime is much more than a cheesy memoir. The words of Janice Hallett for Waterstones.
