I write to you with a heavy heart, sharing the bad situation faced by queer refugees in Kenya. The challenges we face here are overwhelming and leave us in sadness. Our shelters were destroyed by homophobic refugees within our camp, we urgently request donations to rebuild more shelters.
Refugees at Kakuma camp protested after food rations were cut to 40% due to funding shortages. Police clashed with demonstrators, leaving several injured. With thousands struggling for survival, urgent support is needed.
Just like everyone else, trans 🏳️⚧️ people also have dreams, and these dreams can only come true if the worry and fear ends. If we get to a safer community, our dreams will come true. It’s so sad that we still have to face threatening challenges.
