Up at 2 am. Sat in the garden drinking tea. The moon was beautiful but hidden behind clouds most of the time. Went inside, Tom wanted some fussing as I decided to write. Another chapter drafted. A day closer to finishing draft 1

Yep, I handwrite my first drafts. No AI, and I use em-dashes, hyphens, semicolons, and all other grammer stuff.
I haven't posted in a long time, and neither have I spent time writing. However, all that has changed, and I'm finally nearing the end of draft 1 of my story.
If all goes well, the draft should be complete by mid-September, and the excitement is growing in me at this accomplishment.

What plans do you have for today?
Me, if all goes well, I plan to draft another chapter of my ongoing book. That is, if Tom will let me. Hopefully a bowl of food will put him in a good mood
I also need to work on my blogs & start publishing them.
Plenty to do and plenty to say, but just not yet.
Do you find it frustrating when you write your first draft and the story goes into a different direction than you expected and the words you write are nothing more than a jumble mess.
Thank goodness for rewrites.

How's the draft going you ask?
Well, the story was supposed to be 50 chapters, then condensed on the rewrite.
It's now looking to be 61 chapters. Then condensed on the rewrite.
The good part, as slow going as it is, I'm a third way there.

Back to writing and working on book three in my trilogy, and the hardest part I'm finding at this stage is settling on a name for my new protagonist. I've ditched every name so far, and my possible list is empty.

Had the fright of a life this weekend.
Still waiting to have fence replaced from last month's storm and after another night of wild winds. Woke to find what looked like a body in the garden.
Thankfully it was a neighbour's garden ornament.

It's a beautiful morning, and the birds are singing. I'm also feeling very motivated and will begin work on my book this week after a year's break. I also have a selection of short stories I need to decide what to do with.

A tree damaged during the last storm.
Awake since 3 am listening to the wind howl and swoosh around the house.
The calming effect of the howls and blustering is amazing as it brings my chaotic tumbling thoughts into order, focusing my mind on my writing.

Good old insomnia has set in.Was going to use the time to write, but Tom had other ideas.
Just watched the last hour of #playingnice. Thank goodness I didn't waste 4 hours watching all 4 episodes. What a load of rubbish. A woman swaps babies to save her own son while putting another baby in possible danger.
Not sure where my head was at. Just made lunch, beans on toast with sprinkling of grated cheese. Instead of sprinkling the cheese, I sprinkled grated chocolate over the beans.
Don't recommend it. It kinda tasted weird.
Should be writing,but what can you do when the cat decides to take a kip on your knee.
The best way to enjoy a cold day is to curl up on a sleeping blanket and snoozing the day away.
