He and Ellie were the heart. Joel was a dangerous guy and his vicious past ultimately caught up with him. In a way, he and Ellie are still the heart though she’s now going on without him. Vengeance for his death is her strongest motivator.
Truth. The fragile anti-woke types may wanna bail out now. The infected can get pretty scary but for some that’s nothing compared to the relationships in this story.
There’s been so much infected this season in episodes 2 and 4, though. These massive hordes of fungi that weren’t in the intro sequences.
