9/14 Thanks to our great collaborators from Tim Gilgeber’s lab @cssbhamburg.bsky.social and @nishaphilip.bsky.social @edinburgh-uni.bsky.social , we validated some more complexes using fluorescence microscopy and pull-downs, like an exported complex in Maurer’s clefts and MON1/CCZ1/RMC1 complex.

📢 Just 1 month to go until our SPPIRIT ECR symposium
📝 Abstract deadline extended to 10 October 2025 - don’t miss out!
Delighted to report our publication on a divergent cyclic nucleotide binding protein that regulates malaria transmission to mosquitoes. Great work by Domi Kwecka , @jennyregan.bsky.social @choel Kim #malaria #ookinete #mosquitoes #signalling journals.plos.org/plospathogen...
Shameful! Eventually they will just focus on their basketball team!
🔬✨'Women in Malaria' peer-to-peer workshop at #EMBLMalaria
♀️ This informal session brought together women across the #malaria community to share experiences, challenges, and strategies for navigating their careers and shaping the field.
Grateful for the openness, insights, and energy in the room 🙌🏼
Session 3 at #EMBLMalaria – 'Vectors and transmission' – is underway 🦟🔍
Time for another keynote lecture!

We are supposed to receive a shipment next week. Will let you know if there are hiccups.
📣📣 🦟 Wondering what the putative EPAC in Plasmodium does. See our new study characterising a cryptic cyclic nucleotide binding protein required for mosquito infection by the ookinete. Well done Domi Kwecka and team #ookinete #malaria
