I was holding my breath at that point, and what they both did with 5 fouls was honestly masterful, defensively?

UPDATE: "Some guy tried fight me, flicking us off & everything" (yes, unprovoked) ANOTHER update "that was the 2nd guy who tried to fight me" NEW UPDATE: "some guy accidentally bumped into me [2nd person in group], saw my jersey, and said 'if you were a man I'd have pushed you down the stairs😬!!"

Ant got a lot done despite playing injured. Will he be able to keep this up or will it catch up over the course of the series?

Live report from Wolves fans at the game: "The Denver fans were soooo butt hurt😂"

LET'S GO WOLVES!! Hey we're still in it!!!

Yeah I could def take a game with the goofymeter dialed back about 20% haha. Ah man I must have blocked out how bad that was! 😂 So yes I am glad we had a more legit effort this time around!

Well and truly just needed a laugh track; so silly. And yeah that empty netter & Hughes crashing down into the boards after not catching up with it, lol. I figured things would swing the other way this game, & I hope the series remains entertaining (and that more people don't get hurt either)

(Stories of taps running dry/low water pressure on top floors of dwtn hotel & general water restrictions; local wellfields not adequate. This eventually led to participating in Lewis & Clark. Would guess issues also connected w/worse ability of land to retain water post-prairie destruction?

And to me this is a great example of how the “MN is full of water we are fine, yay data centers and other large water users” [huge DC proposed in Nobles Cty] narrative is just not universally true! SW MN is much more arid than folks realize; as far back as the 60s, local water supplies were meh!

And meanwhile, around 8 mill gal/day of MO River-adjacent aquifer water from near Vermillion are piped to far SW MN and NW Iowa (in addition to all the SD cities supplied—28 mil gal/day to Sioux Falls!!) which has never felt very sustainable to me! Worthington literally couldn’t grow without it…

[extreme sarcasm voice] Do you think it’s possible that maybeee the Twins shouldn’t have traded away all their competent relief pitchers??! Do you think they could’ve mayyybe been a decent team over the course of 2026 if the Pohlads had invested even a moderate amount of $ in players?

Good point; I remember now hearing about that but nothing else. Recall there were some early bumps w/servicing of the Borealis at SPUD—which iirc in part led to many railfan-type people bringing up “we should just use Midway” etc—but that never has happened unless I really missed something

Everything I know is that all service is done at SPUD and nothing at Midway

Fwiw, national weather service says only a 40% chance of rain/snow showers, and likely earlier in the day—with a high of 47, so a big difference from the phone weather app! The big issue regardless will apparently be the wind, which may gust up to 30 mph; not fun

Oh no way, is that what the upper harbor terminal path looks like so far?!

1 week ago 2 0 0 0

Lol not really? Like 5 of our 9 top players are gone (already) and we haven't even re-signed a single existing player, much less brought anybody in😭 as of now, we're cooked for 2026

I'm glad to find a fan who is as sad/lost about this as I am...I also thought BC would be gone for sure, and one of Masha or Dorka, and possibly Jess. But what is happening--and with 0 players signed!!--is so worrisome. Almost feels like players don't wanna be in MN, like idk what is happening rn

Ok but the core is like mostly gone now ahh :( I am shocked by what has happened...how does this season succeed when we have apparently lost 5 of our top 9 players from last year? Someone feel free to talk me off the ledge lol...because things are looking bleak bleak bleak

Also not a great sign for the appeal of MN as a place to play that Alanna Smith was quoted as saying she "...hasn't always had "the luxury of choice" in where she plays and how much she's paid," and given the luxury of choice, chose to leave MN! I will be rooting for her in Dallas!

Also just doesn't seem to bode well for several reasons that the Lynx somehow couldn't (can't imagine why they wouldn't want to?) keep 5 of their 9 top players? We all knew there would be turnover this season but Lynx are seeing more than most, so far.

I was *really* looking forward to the Lynx being able to run things back with most of their key players (I guessed BC would be gone; that's fine) & enjoy another fun season with their great team vibes & chemistry. Would've been a huge bright spot in 2026. Kinda feels like that's gone already?☹️

As a Lynx fan I/m worried it is personal reasons, & that either players don't really want to be in MN as a place (not good!!) due to a variety of reasons, or that there's behind the scenes bad blood or team issues we don't know about. I'm shocked and pretty depressed to see her leave.

Uhhh what?? How is this happening? I'd love to see some analysis on everything--are the Lynx not putting up good offers, or (possibly worse) are players just not wanting to stay in the Twin Cities/Minnesota?! I am shocked at Alanna leaving too...kinda spiraling about this season as of now!

I’m a Mac grad with Olaf and Carleton ppl in fam and can confirm that all 3 are doing quite well w/enrollment; Mac has had first yr classes larger than they plan for on and off for years now, to name one specific. And as you said, St. Thomas is still growing. Gustavus (from googling) is down.

He truly rocks, and is yet another example of why the Trump regime hates MN & is so perplexed by white people supporting their neighbors! Because people like this white Scandinavian-descended dude in a Twins hat IN A RURAL AREA (!!) named Ivan Olson stood up and said NO! We care for people here!

I hope you get the bat out!! This is also exactly how I was dressed when me and two others (it truly took all 3 of us ahh!) had to remove a bat last year! An unpleasant bat removal uniform to be sure; I wish you luck!

I don’t have a great society fantasy and clearly almost nobody else in the thread does? I don’t give a whit for such-and-such a conception of “oh we should do a great society again,” lol. If the TOD and system overall are pretty successful for our context, it’s fine to use it as an example.
