i also haven't rly consumed these type of things since i was 16 so who knows lol maybe there's better creators out there now

shoutout tho to @mewitti.bsky.social 's nuzlocke which was probably the only fancomic i read that actually engaged with this stuff seriously/realistically/logically

there's this specific kind of comic that i've seen a few of when a new gen comes out where the trainer is like "i have to move on to the next journey.. i just have to" and their pokemon from the prev game are like "it's ok :) we understand :) we'll be waiting for you :)"
that stuff pisses me off

sometimes they'll come up with headcanons like actually battling is an essential need for pokemon like food or sleep or the pcs are actually wonderful environments and they like being in them but that stuff's dumb

the thing that always bothered me with fans anthropomorphizing pokemon in fancomics fanfics etc. is that essentially they'll always just be happy slaves
