Everybody, try this! I did, it's cute and fun! Thank me later.

In the spirit of my vintage theme progressions get displayed as index cards. What do you think? #indiedev #indiegame
Changed the Pop-Up system to an off-canvas style sidebar. Also added more "Nana-Messages" as a quasi tutorial over the first couple of days in the game. #indiegame #gamedev
Your code is well indented, with consistent spacing and naming conventions. Methods are structured clearly and consistently. HOW DARE YOU! Gotta be AI. Reminds me of: You're writing uses dashes? Busted, AI! I don't hate on AI assisted stuff, but all those "AI-analysis" tools are stupid and useless
This is correct. Bought the paperback years ago. Didn't regret it.
got my first wishlist from someone in estonia, i don't know who you are but you mean so much to me, thank you

Everyone, check this game out. Gave it a try in a way earlier version. Had a blast! A lot of new features added since then. Just got the early access version on steam. If you enjoy it too, consider a review. Those first reviews are crucial for visibility!
I'll be happy to tell you as soon as I figure it out. π Whether they're actually balanced isn't that important, at least in my opinion. I see them more as system-specific nudges/tutorials. Once you've finished them all, you're ready for extra-deep runs in open play. Does this make sense?
Working on different "knacks" (= character/playstyles) for the game to increase replayabiliy and also add some more meta-progression to the game. #indegame #gamedev
Overload happens when your mind holds a lot of topics, unfinished tasks, and emotional weight. It can feel like walking into a room where every light is flashing. Taking a pause and thinking about what I can do with it is the productive thing to do.

That's the spirit, released my first game at 41. It's never too late. All the best!
Congratulations, feels great, doesn't it? All the best for your game!

I'm not a UX researcher. But even as someone whose most important (and often only) tester is his girlfriend, I probably could have recognized that this is a problem. Every time you explain something, you didn't a good job of making it understandable. This sounds crazy for a big title.
The joy of having solved a UI problem within a limited space is offset by the usual vague aversion to changing the familiar. Fortunately, I'm not the only one who feels this way EVERY TIME. But this looks good imho!
hold the mine logo with the mention 10,000 copies sold within the first week of launch
Forgot to share the good news yesterday with all the things happening behind the scene but...
...Hold The Mine sold more than 10,000 copies in 7 days!
Thank you so much for all the support, stay tuned more cool things coming into the game in the following weeks!
The next update will also include an EXTENSIVE and strongly NARRATIVE-BASED tutorial. If that doesn't get you in the right mood, I don't know what will.
For the upcoming weeks, I'll try do a quick playtest of one unreleased #indiegame per day and give some (private) feedback. No content creation etc. Just my initial thoughts via dm. If you have a public beta/demo and like to get some "first impression feedback", let me know. #gamedev
Just checked this one out a little. It's ridiculously cute and already in quite good shape.
After 12 years of making games finaly Demo of my first game Arcade Shop Simulator is on Steam Next Fest. I put a lot work into this to polish the demo before Next Fest. I feel relief, there is still a lot of work ahead but I am proud of it! store.steampowered.com/app/3421710/... #gamedev #indiedev
Come on! "Weak guy" is obviously 1990s David Bowie. Of course he got the girl in the end. Don't act surprised!

Yes, I knew about the memory leak. Yes, βI'll fix it laterβ was not a good idea. But why, WHY, did it have to crash the game two minutes before the first successful playthrough after a year of development? What have I done to you, universe?

Reposting my own stuff β apologies if youβve already seen it! Just hoping to reach folks who were offline in other parts of the world. #indiegame #gamedev

I'm having a minor existential #gamedev crisis. Is this even fun? Until yesterday, I thought so, but then I caught myself perceiving the game as more of a funless grind. Here's an early web build: Any feedback is more than welcome. Have a great Sunday! #indiegame

Your wish is my command. Right now working on this:

Testers said that it was not always clear what effects certain actions or transactions had overall. Therefore, I added a series of animations and, in particular, a transaction report, which is intended to make it more transparent what progress is being made and in which areas. #indiegame #gamedev
The answer to the last question has changed about twelve times in the last two hours. It mostly depends on, which side of this I'm currently on.

23 wishlists first day, thank you!
I hope it will grow faster once I put the demo + trailer out.
