The rubicon was already crossed and I'm not just posting this only bc trans. This is one of many examples of repubs oppressing anyone who isn't them. But a lot of my social circle is trans folk, n I'm posting this to emphasize how ICE isn't a threat trans folk can just distance themselves from.

Since Nov 2024 I've asked myself, "What preparations do I need to make and what affairs should I have in order for when it inevitably becomes doorkicking?".
Everyone's gonna have different answers, and whatever your answer is I think you need to act on it.

AAAAAA TY FOR POSTING THIS
A beastly werewolf fursuit posing over the camera like they're picking up a very small person. Fish eye lens makes them look crazy tall.
How'd you get so small? And snack sized?

Maybs we can make Sunday, will check schedule :3
I would never underestimate any gun but, if used, "is a politically themed gun /admissable in court/" is a big question. having anything like that is dumb af and this is coming from someone with a literal clown themed carbine
come thru sometimeeee :3 really you ain't even that far n_n

rightwing chuds buying shitty useless gun challenge: impossible
just saw a dude come up to a bar patron & show him a shitty trump themed .22lr rifle on his phone sayin he's about to get from a friend like "there's only /47/ ever made", n the patron unironically says in his gruff old man voice he should buy his friend a beer and a BK meal in exchange FBFJFJJFJJ
Thank you! I don't have experience with .380 handguns and appreciate you stepping in with that recommendation. Strangely enough I've only ever shot .380 from a carbine :3
Great list! I'll add the course look up tool for stop the bleed cms.bleedingcontrol.org/class/search
And I'll also recommend the S&W bodyguard 2.0 for a concealed weapon, it's so small you can almost forget you have it, and yet the grip is big enough to get all fingers on it for most people.
inner ear via bone conduction.
I used to just run one or the other, but upon reading further into it just one set isn't sufficient for noise reduction. Doubling up is recommended. But even with ear protection, someone who shoots often enough can suffer longterm hearing loss as high-decibel sound still travels to the(cont)
Also this is different for everyone but I personally do not believe in CCW without also having pepper spray. If I'm dealing with a threat that doesn't need a lethal weapon, I'm not going to put my body(which has a gun on it)on the line. I think everyone should carry pepper spray actually.
Almost forgot also! Check your state and local laws and apply for licenses to carry if necessary. Also, when traveling, check if any states you're travelling to/across are willing to honor your home state carry permit.
Ack I should've structured my initial post to indicate that the following thread had some advice n whatnot. n_n Here!
Otherwise you can keep an unloaded handgun under your mattress and a separate magazine in a hidden but easily accessible location, and then train with quickly loading and racking the slide(you can use Snap Caps to safely simulate the scene). Train repetitively to chamber a round during an emergency.
If there's children in your home you may want several layers of other security that may buy you time to undo a weapon lock. (cont)
Almost forgot! Carry nitrile gloves wherever you have your first aid and carry some wherever you load ammo in your magazine for a longer term than range shooting. Many reasons why you don't want fingerprints on very common 9mm casings, especially if your gun ends up in the wrong hands.
I think I covered things a good deal but reach out with any questions please n_n;
Within the last few months I made some big diagnoses/adjustments to some of my shooting issues after years of being armed, so don't get discouraged if you're not good right away. YouTube helps a lot.
Dry fire at least a few times a week and do it in a completely separate room from your ammo.
Invest in eye protection and ear protection, and always double up with foam plugs inside of your earpro. palmettostatearmory.com/walker-s-ult...
This is a budget set but you may want to shop for some beefier earpro if you can afford it.
Also buy some reactive targets(temu/walmart/whatever is fine) and a heavy duty stapler to set your targets up if you're shooting in an outdoor range. Indoor ranges should have big targets for purchase(or free) in-house that you can clip onto the cardboard backing.
If the above holster is still of stock there are other PSA Dagger Compact holster manufacturers.
You don't need a weapon mounted light(WML) if you have a separate flashlight. Both is nice but if you had to pick one, use a separate small flashlight. You'd also need to upgrade holsters to fit a WML.
palmettostatearmory.com/anr-kydex-iw... An IWB (in the waistband) holster for appendix carry with a retention claw made of Kydex is the safest and most reliable way to conceal carry a magazine fed handgun. Avoid cloth holsters. There are also left handed holsters available for left handed folk.
Cleaning kit: palmettostatearmory.com/hoppe-s-clea...
Clean and lube your handgun fresh out the box and between every few range trips. If your handgun is not lubed right out the box before use, it may not reliably cycle between shots.
Jacketed Hollowpoint 9mm ammo palmettostatearmory.com/federal-trai...
These are meant for self defense but also double up as decent range ammo without breaking the bank. You can keep a box in your car for impromptu short training sessions with your self defense loads if you happen to pass a range.
Cheap 9mm full metal jacket rounds: palmettostatearmory.com/blazer-brass...
Train with FMJ's to save money, as your self defense ammo(hollowpoints) are pricier. CCI and Federal are my go-to brands with proven reliability. Take a shooting class & then run a few hundred rounds through your weapon.
